I just recently told my girlfriend that i am going to be out of town for our 2 month because of hockey and won't be able to go to her thanksgiving dinner either because of hockey... She's pretty upset and I just wanted to do something nice for her but I have no ideas... Is there anything I can do to make this not so crappy?

you to should spend the whole day before you go together wat ever she wants to do u guys shud do it even if it jus sitting on the couch watchin movies sh will remember that day and will think how lucky she is to have you

If you really want to make her day,send her some nice flowers at her parent,s home and let them know how much you love her by public expression in the family group,since many couples will be at the gathering,she probably feels lost from you not being present there ,a public show of your feelings will boost your image with her and her parents and have their support even if you are not there,make it a surprise,be creative and good luck.

If u really care about her what u do is have one amazing night for her, like a fancy dinner, just the two of you, and if u think yall are ready give her a ring, to let her know that u will always be there and u wouldnt want it any other way

Take her out to the park, and tell her how you know she must be upset, that you can not be their for all of the important holidays, tell her that it hurts you also, but you will always be close at heart to her, it would be nice if you could get her a bracelet, or trinket to give her, the night before you go away, to remember you by!

ok first of all a i want a bf like you. i have been with the same man for 2 years and he has NEVER!! gotten me anything. so ok, heres what you do. have flowers sent to her on the anniversary. and for thanksgiving, if she is going to her familys house have a fall center piece of flowers sent to the family. and then when you get back, you cook or take her out for your own private little thanksgiving. and top her off with whipped cream at the end.....

well this is what you could do spend as much time with her as you can and then everyweek get her a gift and say this this always work if you don't want me to go i won't go i wont get any money she'll let you go then. when you go to the hockey every week get her a jewlrey every women like that and if you don't have the money seend her her a dezon of roses or chocolate

celebrate your anniversary before you leave.Do everything with her that you would have done on the real one.Then on the real one have a friend put 2 red roses on her doorstep. And make sure to call her and let her know you are thinking of her.
I dont know what to say about Thanksgiving as I will be away from my boyfriend myself....So I'm with ya there buddy...lol

if you have a lap top get a web cam and tel lehr you will stay in contact thatway.This will make things easier for both of you if you can chat and see each other .if not - you may just have ot weather teh storm and hope your relationship will grow stronger.Sounds ot me she wants you there and you want Hockey .You may haveot decide if one os more valued then the other.This is what happens in life and you must chice wisely and not ruin your future

well, mate i would do something that she isn't expecting like take her on this trip with you,spend the night or two in a nice hotel make her feel like nothing else matters at the moment!! women need all of our attention. no matter what we do it will never be enough,but you need to find a common ground before you lose her over this trust me it can be a lot worse!! good luck mate

You sound like a sweetheart to me....buy her two roses for the two month and call her and assure her you are thinking of her. As for Thanksgiving, just call her when you get the chance so she knows you really care. I just think it's so cool you are so concerned about this.....

Girls and dedication to sports usually doesn't work... Girls are about the relationship...best option if you want to keep her...give up the hockey..if you can live without her, don't worry about it.
Eventually you'll have to make one of these 2 choices.
