Singles & Dating - 29 September 2006

I couple of months ago I fell in love with a certain person and she also with me. Well we broke up about 4 months ago and I am still very in love with her but we both have a new person with us. I promised her I would always love her and all of that stuff but I don't know what to do. I got a new gf that means so much to me but I can't let go of my ex. The reason I'm confused is my ex has already had sex but I still love/want a life with her but don't want to hurt my new gf to whom I fear I am also beginning to get very strong feelings for her.... any advice such as... Should I stay with my gf now who makes me really happy or should I still talk to my ex about getting back together... or just let things play out on there own WHAT DO I DO?

Since we have been together I have loaned him money treated him out to lunch and all i get is the you know what. he is very sweet and a private person but something tells me I should leave it alone. I have been divorced for 3 years and have done no dating until now. I go out with the guy about once a week but i want to go start seeing him more. Don't mind the spelling, that's just how kids type nowadays, but do you think she will accept this? She says we are best friends, I don't treat her badly, I just don't always express my feelings, and this is the only way I could. How do you think this will go with her? why is it that everytime i let my gaurd down i get hurt and everytime i keep my distance the girl falls so hard for me that its unatractive is there no happy median and why is it that yall make the worst excuses to break up... My wife passed on a year ago and since then I have made love only twice. In fact, I did it to test that I am still a man and alive. Though I love people of opposite sex (females)and want to talk to them, I lack the motivation. Theres a guy i like in work and i thought he likes me and i was thinking bout asking him out. But the thing is lately hes being whispering to his mate and im worried he may now have a girlfriend. He says he only likes me as a friend. That remind him too much of his ex. I get that, as unfair as it is. I will get over it.

But, one of my best friend (who has never met him) emailed him about a party they will be attending for a mutual friend, and he wrote her back about a paragraph and a half about how he only likes me as a friend (he said this about four times in the email) and he doesn't want to hurt my feelings. But he does care about me and he thinks I am sweet but "it would never work". He says he has been distancing himself from me because of this. "I don't know how much of this she has told you, but I thought you needed to hear my side too."

She really doesn't know much about what is going on, so she was kinda caught off guard. She just read parts of the email to me over the phone. She said "Obviously, he has thought a LOT about you.."

Did he just need someone to talk to who knew me? Do you think he thinks I'm mad at him? Or, like she thinks, that he is trying to supress any feelings he might have?

So I started dating this boy right when college started. I didn't even want to get into a relationship so fast but he is one of those guys who was just 2 good to pass up on.

The last 7 weeks have been unreal. He is the nicest sweetest cutest guy who dsn't knw how adorable he is and it would get to the point of him texting or visiting or calling was almost 2 much with him only living a lfoor above me.

Over the last 4 days he has just like made absoutly no contact with me. I text him and he won't respond and if he does it's a yes or no. I'll text him and tell him to call me when he gets back, i'll see him get back in the building and he won't call me and his sn is never online. This isn't him and my gut tells me something wrong. I talked to him 2 days ago by waiting for him and he sayed things where fine and started to ignore me.

I cryed myself to sleep last night. he is always in the back of my mind jabbing my heart everyday. I never knew I cared for him so much.
