Singles & Dating - 26 September 2006

I divorced my husband about 12 weeks ago, because he was dating the neighbor's sister. Now he has the woman sleeping over at his house, as well as a female friend who sleeps there a couple of times a week when in town for business. These activities continue even when my 8 year old daughter stays with him during her visitation. My ex sees nothing wrong with my daughter seeing his "friends" come over, or spend the night. He says he is "socializing" her! I feel that 12 weeks is too soon to be exposing my daughter to this kind of behavior. Are there any guidelines or rules of thumb about when a parent should start introducing their child to their new lifestyle or partner?

but when guys do that people call them gay
isn't that a double standard

I'm single and not looking to "find" someone or cash in my single status. I'm just often in a relationship and am used to spending a lot of time with a boyfriend. What are some things I can do with all this extra time and some ways to make new friends (not boyfriends!)? All my good friends have scattered since we finished school and I don't really know that many people in town.

He has been wonderful ever since but I still am insecure...he said he made a mistake and would take it back if he could, he just got confused. He was with his ex wife for 10 or so years and they grew up together. She left him for another man and divorced him and then after the boyfriend broke up with her she decided she wanted him back. He left me for her. Now that he is back, although I am happy I am still so insecure. He has been wonderful since we have been back together and he said he would never leave me again...that he realized how much he loved me and how much I love him. How can I get past this and should I even try?

My friend been dating a real nice guy, who is in his final stages of divorces. The guy has been separated for the last two years and just negoatiating the settlement. He has two children boy and girl, ages 12 and 9 and a stepson who is grown and recently moved in with my friend's boyfriend. She is concerned that she will not be able to handle being second to a man's ex-wife and kids. They have to keep their relationship secret until the divorces is final. She is not comfortable with this at all. Tell me what my friend needs to do.

Me and my girl broke up about a month ago, and I tried everything to get her back because I thougth that she was the one!!

After an argument she told me that she never wanted me back in the first place because I through myself onto a platter for her!!

The thing is that I love her so how can she expect me not to try to get her back?

So I have been with my boyfriend for a year and some months... One of my girlfriends seems to like him... The twist is she is dating my boyfriends brother. So she is always around... The parents of a girl I see recently seem to hate me. She is really a nice girl, and she seems to be able to make her own mind up and we are both in our 20's.

My boyfriend is in Iraq, and I was under the impression that he should have been home by now based on his words as well as the automated system that was very similar to what he said. It is now going to two weeks since the date I was given, and I have not heard from him at all. All of his information is not the same because he closed out everything before he left so I have no way of calling him to find out anything.

We have a very good relationship, and he has communicated with me either weekly or daily since he has been gone. We even talked a week before he was supposed to come home. So if I give up is it to soon because he could be some where, where he can't contact me or would you think he is back home and don't want to contact me since it has been almost two weeks. Again our relationship is very good no fighting no arguing no nothing I just need to know should I give it some more time.
