I'm gonna guess that the people doing the applauding, are other girls, and that you're rather young. What you say is true, and it reflects the immaturity of kids, and the ignorance of what it means to be gay. The battle of the sexes rages on, and we will always struggle to understand one another. When we don't, then someone is called a jackass. Fortunately, this double standard might go away as you get older. Unfortunately, some other people never grow up.

Probably because boys do not have enough of a spine to call girls on their double standard. Boys are afraid that if they stand up to a girl and tell her the truth about herself, then no one will go out with him.

Girls already know that somebody will still ask her out even if she acts badly.

it is a double standard.People should not be calling names for our behavior. They should say what they didn't like about the behavior, not call someone a name.

Girls make the rules. Don't try to understand (except Gene Simmons he evidently makes his own).
