Why is it that so many guys are into just hooking up one night and never talking to you again? Is there a such thing as a guy who wants to continue talking to a girl? Or am I just missing something?

Everyone says I'm looking in the "wrong" places...so then what, exactly, is a "right" place to find a genuine guy (if there is a such thing) ?

We have one class together and everyday we talk to eachother. He is always telling me about his basketball games and stuff like that. We never speak to eachother in the halls we just wave or say hi to eachother. Does he like me or is he just being friendly?
If does seem like he likes me how can I show I'm intereted.

I recently bought a brand new flat on a new development and down in the site office is a guy that I really fancy - he is gorgeous! I also know that he referred to me as a "gorgeous girl" to one of the other people buying a flat in my block and I know that he's single. He's helped me with initial problems I had in my flat so to try and give him a hint I popped a thank you card through the sales office letter box saying maybe he could let me buy him a drink sometime...what response have I had? Nothing! It was a really casual message in the card but now I feel a bit embarrassed that he hasn't responded (this all happened last week and I know he has the card). So what do I do now? Could he just be biding his time or should I just cut my losses and forget it?

How do you know if a guy is being genuine and really likes you, or if he's just smooth talking his way into your pants? For some reason I cant pick up on it until it's too late. Is there any way to detect it sooner?

I met a woman and she has two kids(5 & 7). In communications training I learnt that people find you interesting when you find them interesting - and there are great ways to fake interest. You need to keep on asking questions, and a foolproof way of doing that is to echo adverbs. You let a girl tell you something such as 'I had a terrible weekend' and you go 'terrible?', she'll elaborate, use more adverbs.. And a conversation really could last (unless you do it too blatantly). Has anyone tried this, had any results?

Yet, none of them want to be with me.

And any woman who has dated me has dumped me. All of them say, "I don't deserve you" when they dump me.
