I'm a single dad. and I've often wondered the same thing - where should I go to find a mate (non-sexually speaking). It's easy to find sex at just about any bar or club. But if you're looking for more, stop looking, and just let things happen! Surround yourself with activities involving friends, and other interests you may have. When you least expect it, you'll find someone. Oh - and don't go looking at the laundromat - despite what people say... If he can't afford his own washer and drier, how could he afford to treat you to a nice dinner on a date? (kidding really - part of a longer joke) Good luck! They're out there!

You'd never beielve it, but I met my wife online. I was on the Personals and decided to spend a little money so I could reply to a few potentials and walla. Just be extremely careful when doing this. I would suggest talking to them online for awhile to see what they are like, then also call them on the phone and talk to them. My wife and I did this for about 3 months before we met. I wouldn't meet them unless you knew something about them, ask the deep and hard questions and do it more than once to see if the story stays consistent. I would say thats the best way anymore, Its very hard to meet someone in the bars (that you'd be compatible with) or even church. Its easier online because you can pick and choose who you'd like to meet.

Good question.
My advice would be bars and clubs for something shorter term but if your after something more serious with a greater potential to turn into something lifelong i would suggest joining several clubs of interest ie.sporting or dancing. Although this may make your life a little busyer i would recommend this as your best plan of attack.

If you want to meet someone who has been prescreened and put together with you based on things you have in common, and you're looking for a good man to spend the rest of your life with, I've heard so much good stuff about E-harmony.com. It's up to you what you want. As far as clubs and bars, most people there are not looking for long, meaningful relationships.

You can meet men everywhere just be more forward but dont start weighing up every man as a potential boyfriend just get chatting in a friendly way most of us dont bite

i think the best place is a club...u can talk with the person find out where there at.in a open atmosphere.if hes not what u expect ,u can find the next person & so -on.its also good to go with a friend or two.Alone makes women look despread in my opinion.

Well, if you're looking for mature men, fatherly types even, you should go to places they go to too. A Volvo dealership or an IKEA store, for example. If you're looking for a fling, but need your kid to tag along unnoticed, it's best to go to an amusement park or zoo, where your kid will be quite capable of keeping itself busy, while you strut around.

Church is a good place, there's usually singles classes for adults. Or you can try an on-line dating service like plentyoffish.com. ...or on a bus or commuter train.

When you find out let me know. depends what your looking for in a guy , theres church for decent men, the local bar, soccer game, you could join local dating agency look for someone who will accept you as a package deal as your kids are priority.
