Singles & Dating - 26 June 2006

I was dating a girl for a long time. We are best friends and I mean the world to her. I love her with all my heart and would die for her in an instant. We are currently not dating, because of my choice of being in the Marines, but she refuses to see anyone and cries all the time that she is worried I will never go back to her. She is gorgeous and we never argue and talk everything out. I am completely open and tell her what I do, who I go on dates with and what happens on the dates. I will be going to Okinawaw, Japan in August and was wondering if I should propose. I have prayed a lot about lust and I am trying to not lust after other woman but it will be hard for 2 years w/out her. I am scared to death to lose her but I would hate myself more and for the rest of my life if I ever did anything to hurt her. What should I do? And does anyone know any ways to not lust besides praying?

This guy has flirted with me before and then was mean to me a couple of times. Then apoligized for it. Sometimes would make eye contact and then sometimes wouldn't look my way. Saw me really fixed up one day and especially ignored me then. He's 24 and I'm 34. He's taken a turn lately and has just been really friendly but not in a flirty way. Also started asking me work related questions. The 3rd time I didn't know the answer I laughed because again I didn't know. I went over to a friend and laughed when I looked back he saw me laughing. He ignored me the next day. He was on vacation for a week. When He saw me he stared but when I got closer to who he was talking to him quickly walked off. He is always eyeing this girl at the other side of the room he doesn't even know her. Do you think he had any interest in me but because of my age, he's more interested in her? And why did he ignore me?

Guys always seem to say that they're most attracted to girls with confidence. I'm kind of shy and quiet, and I'm wondering - is it impossible for me to ever hope that any guy will actually like me for these qualities? Or do I have to start strutting around?

My girlfriend seems to find it necessary to let me know when she thinks another guy is hot. If there's someone on television who she thinks is hot, she makes sure to tell me. Now I'm not sure how to react to this. I'm not going to deny that I'm a little insecure when it comes to the way I look, but I don't need to know about every man she finds attractive. I never mention to her any woman I find attractive, because I want her to feel like she's the most attractive woman in my life. I just told her what I thought about her doing this, and she got pissed, called me a jackass and told me she didn't want to talk to me right now.

I was dating a guy about a year ago and I found out that he was married and that he had another girl friend all the same time. i got really hurt. so i set him up with his wife and we got him. he ended telling her that he didn't want to be with her and that he wanted to be with me. i saw the hurt in her eys, it hurted me as bad as it hurted her. i told him that i didn't want to be with a guy that was married and had two girlfriend. So that was the end of that, now his wife and myself are good friends.
