i asked this girl out wich was one of my best friends but we just had met a month ago and she told me that she dosnt see me as a bf but that i never know she might start liking me one day and that she doesnt want our friendship break up she also said that i dont know what i want and that she thinks i still like my ex
we went out just yesterday for the first time not the first time but fiirst time that she knew i liked her and we were hugging and holding our hands why would she do that if she sees me as a friend then why did she do that is she just playing with me or what

I don't think she is playing with you. She cares enough to want to be close, but she may not want more then that. You have to decide if you can handle her being that close and just be her friend. I know it is hard. I just ended a 6 year relationship with my friend Marc, he wanted more I didn't and it got too hard for him. I was the same way I wanted to be close but just as friends. I think that is why I am seeking a gay male to bef riends with, it is too hard the other way. Good luck

debinva is right, don;t read into it too much. But there is another scenario that could work in your favour, if you don;t **** it up. Maybe she only said you weren't bf material because she thought you still liked your ex. Maybe she;'s testing you to see if you can be a friend, despite the tension you think you've caused by confessing how you feel. Being there as a friend shows her a hell of alot more than trying to get with her. Be there as a friend, and you will show her how you feel. If she feels the same way when she sees it, she'll tell you. Don;t rush things. All good things come in time. Have patience.

I have seen friends that hug and hold hands. Do not read more into it than what it is. It will either eat you up inside or hurt you in the long run.
