Singles & Dating - 26 June 2006

Alright here's the story: This guy, I guess he likes me, because he stares a lot at me from his house, whenever I'm on the porch, one day he was crossing the street from my side of the house, he was looking at me, I didn't know this until I put my head up, and I found his eyes on me or whatever. Last year, our block had a block party, and he was just waving my mother down, saying "Hi," with a big smile on his face, of course I was on the porch, I was actually next to her. He waved at me first, and then he waved to my mom, and did all of that stuff lol. But If he likes me or whatever, how do I go about telling him that I like him too. My mom doesn't know I like him, she allows me to date and everything, but I dont know if the guy moms knows that he likes me or whatever, and my mom and his mom, well they don't "talk," like that, but they talk like neighbors are supposed to. What do I do?

whenever I have been on a date with a guy I always try to split the cost of the meal and if I have no money I let him know and I usually try to order something that is not too expensive, I feel if he always payed for everything I would feel like I ow him something,I meen sure sometimes its fine and all if they take you out I just feel some women take advantage of the situation. Like this guy told my friend he would buy her a purse and she called him to see when he has going to take her to get it...I was shocked cuz I would feel so enberrase to do that.
so my ? is how do girls do this, how do you get a guy to buy you something without feeling bad.In my relationship we half everything unless one of us cant at the moment wich is no big deal...but I could never just aske someone to get it for me without feeling bad.

My brother is dating this girl, let's call her Ashley. They love each other. But there's one problem: my brother's friend, let's call him Allen, loves Ashley. Allen and Ashley used to date and now Allen wants her back. Allen has threatened Ashely that if she doesn't start seeing him, he will kill himself. This has been going on for a couple days now. Obviously this is a huge problem. My brother isn't sure if he will actually kill himself or not, but he doesn't want to risk the chance. I've been dating my boyfriend for some months after we had both been single for a year. It was going fantastically well and I was trying my best to be unpressurising as he said he wanted to take it VERY slow. We enjoy each other's company a great deal and both find each other physically attractive.

However, I have recently found myself 'falling' for him and I know that if he knew this, it would freak him out. He has a low sex drive (opposite to me) and perhaps, self-esteem/confidence issues. I have been very patient with him as I think he is worth the effort.

He recently told me that he is worried that the 'spark' does not exist between us and asked me, considering we get along so well and like each other immensely, why hasn't it happened yet/will it ever happen.

I am quite happy to give it some more time. He cried at the mention of breaking up. I ultimately do not want a relationship that lacks that 'special something'. Shall I just wait? For how long?

i've only had two boy friends and im 15 and we were boy friend girl friend for at least 2 or 3 days. My first boyfriend and i lasted less than 24 hours, then he asked me out a month later that last at least a week, and then he asked me out again and that lasted less than 24 hours again. My last boy friend and I lasted less than 7 hours. He gave me an excuse and i find it kind of cute but yet it wasnt, he told me that he didn't want to hurt my feelings. This guy that has flirted with me before and then was mean a couple of times. But apoligized for being mean. Then took a turn of just being really friendly when he'd see me big smiles. He's even winked at me after a conversation before. But even though he seems kind of interested in me has even asked me a couple of college related questions. Each time I didn't know the answer he'd just laugh. He never has really made personal conversation this was the first time, any kind of conversing went on and it was just for a minute. The last time he asked I laughed because again I didn't know the answer. I went over to a girlfriend and laughed when I looked back he saw me laughing. He ignored me the next day. A week went by and he asked me a question again for the first time. He got eye level with me. Usually I'd act really nervous when I'd talk to him this time, I was more confident and not as smiling.
