I finished my college,then i took break since i had operations then went back and now doing masters pursuing phd soon.My parents whenever they meet friends or relatives lie,act strange,weird,fib about what im doing.I dont understand since i feel im doing my masters and ill be pursuing my phd after it why they behave this way.Next month relatives,friends,family are gathering how do i set record straight since i wont be attending event as ive got exams i dont want my parents to lie,fib,act strange,weird when they are asked what im doing since im proud im doing masters and pursuing phd after it.

ok, i have asked this question about 2 months ago but its back up again. i have now been with my boyfriend for 6 months (I"m 26) and i do love him , he makes me happier then any man ever has . but i am uncomfortable with the fact that he still talks all the time to one of his exgirlfriends . she and him are supposed to be such good friends but of all his friends i only met ehr once for 5 minutes . and they had sex a few times after they broke up, the last time they did it was about a little over a year ago,\(while she was with the man she is with now)and this is the only thing that we argue about , cause no matter how much i try i'm not cool with it. we are talking about it today, i feel like maybe i should break up with him if i cant accept this but at the same time , its gonna hurt soooo bad. i really let myself get attached to him, what should i do?oh and i just wanted to add that they never see eachother just tlak on the phone almost every day .( well as far as i know)

There is a boy at school and one day he slapped me in the bum with a stick (not hard ) But one day one boy said that he was looking up porn on a school pc (pc class ) . I am close to someone (now 22 y/o) who was raped and molested by her dad as a child. I know that this person is not alone and that other females in her immediate family were molested as well.
A couple of years ago, one of these women tried to come fwd to press charges, but found out that the statute of limitation was exceeded, so she couldn't do anything about it. However, it shedded light on it and 4 of her family members came fwd, claiming to have been through the same thing.
She has a younger sister and nieces and we have reason to believe that he has done it to these girls, too... not only that, but her own mom KNEW about it and did NOTHING to help (she actually walked in on several incidences).
I know this is a touchy subject, but she won't admit it to her very tight-knit family nor herself that this happened (or happened to the others). She continues a relationship w/ her dad and even encourages him to see her children. She talks about how much she "loves him."

I just thought I should clarify that an ANNIVERSARY is annually... once a year.

So when you celebrate like your first month together... it's not called your ANNIVERSARY. Just call it like your MONTHIVERSARY. Then your second month together, it's called your 2-MONTHIVERSARY. Or just plain say "We celebrated our first month together." Just PLEASE don't call it your anniversary. You're fooling yourself and everyone else! LOL.

Ok, so I made that word up, but it's better than saying "I just celebrated my anniversary with my boyfriend." My friend said that and I was like, "Aww congratulations!" Later, I found out it was her 7-monthiversary.

I just thought I'd clarify that. Haha.

Me(21) and my boyfriend(32) have been together for 8 months, we are in total love. I love him so much that I find myself thinking about him and daydreaming about him alll day everyday. Sometimes it disracts me from my work, but I can't help it. I miss him so much during the day. Even at night before I go to sleep just after seeing him, I think about him. I barely even think about anything else sometimes. IS THIS NORMAL? I'm not like obessesed or anything like I don't call him all the time, infact he is the one calling me all the time. I know he loves me cause he tells me he misses me so much and he misses falling a sleep with me in his arms (he recently moved in with his aunt, they're portuguese so lot's of rules) So what do u girls think??? My husband, my children & I are invited to his parent's house this Sat. for his brother's birthday party. I don't really want to go. They have been laying on the guilt trip pretty thick. My husband's brother is not a nice person; yet his parents always seem to justify his bad behaviors. I was raped by his brother several years ago and confronted him just this year. I have really hardly seen or spoken to him since. I don't understand and it upsets me a great deal because in my inlaws eyes he can do no wrong & they reward him; and they do not treat my husband very well. My husband is lucky if they acknowledge his birthday, let alone have a huge b-day bash. My husband accepts it and knows they won't change. It just makes me angry. I really want to just move far away and not deal with any of them, but that's not very realistic. What could be said or done? How could I get my point accross and get them to see what they are doing? My wife and I just had a beatiful baby and both our families are understandably very excited. My mother lives a distance away and wants to come see her grand child, which I have no problem with, however, she wants to come over and stay with us for 4 weeks! I am dreading this, because her and my wife have never really interacted and do not know each other well. My wife doe not wnat her there for 4 weeks because she says she will be uncomfortable. How can I resolve this issue, because I think it is just too long of a stay.
