You know how when ur friend is upset you want to comfort her right?

well its hard for me, in a normal situation I could make her laugh and stuff, but the minute she's feeling downright sad I freeze up. Cuz i know that one wrong word I can make her feel worse.

All I can do is to nod and agree with her and stop talking then my friend looks at me weirdly and say i should act normal BUT its HARD!! I mean i don't want to say or do somthing that will make her more upset!

any ideas on how to not freeze up and act normal and know what i can and cannot say in those situations??

Ok I may be to young but i have problems too. Some girls forced me to like this other girl and everytime I say I want to be friends she starts to cry because I really dont like her. Now a few years later I see her at school and she still likes me. She has very cute girls but im stuck with her. i dont want to break up, that will make her cry. Sorry for all this writing but what should i do?

i have 2 friends that i used to go to school with till i moved about 3 years ago. for about a year now its been hard to talk to them even though i hardly ever get a chance to. i have seen one of them just last month but i havent seen the other for about a year. i have been their friends since 3rd grade (im in 8th now). i want to stay friends and i know i'd have to make that extra effort to but sometimes it seems like they dont want to make the effort. should i still have faith and hold on to them or should i let go?

I have a friend who lies alot.I dont mean a little white lie but ones that make them look stupid. I met her about 3 1/2 years ago.And at first it was cool we were the best of friends we did everything together. Then she would start to lie aout things sooo silly. She was always telling everybody she was pregnant,and i was the only one who knew she wasnt. She also lied about having kids, she said she had three kids that lived in flordia with her moms sister. I asked her mom how her sister in flordia was doin and she looked at me like i was stupid and said i dont have a sister. After that i just started to belive her less and less. i was still her friend we just werent as close anymore. And recently i have cut off all connections with her because she was acting really weird. She started calling me non-stop wanting to know what i was doing where i was at and who i was with. i mean she was like she was my boyfriend or sumthin. it creeped me out. she wont stiop calling now. What should i do?

Do you think this boy likes me?
Today I (my class) had to present a report and this boy I like (he knows I like him) is sitting next to this computer and I can barly see him. Then i see him move next to my friend!! ( :0 ) Then later we had Art and we had to make a symbol. I was done and he kept stealing my paper and making me try to get it. My friend asked him if he liked my friends or anyone. and he said only as friends. I flirt with him. I think he like me a little. When watch a movie he always by me!! In art that was wierd. He made me try to get it and he held it to one side and I reached over to try to get it. Then he would pass it to his friends. He would do that the whole time! In my head I was like i like this but it was fun. How do you fing out if he likes me? (or not) Also he said that he likes me as a friend, how can i get him to like me and then we can be together?

I know this one kid Dean and he is well mean most of the time. He is kind of fat and he thinks that people should know just as much as he does or he will think they are stupid. One time i was talking to my friend and he just said "Hey nick cloose it". The worst part of this was that he had a smile on his face and even did a hand jesture with it. What do you think is the best way to avoid hitting dean and actually doing something effective with him?

i recently got a job at lowe's and ony one of my friends and her man needs a job. i called around looking for my friend today and i ended up having to call her boyfriend because he keeps her phone while shes at work. note: this is her baby daddy and i have a sixth month old by a boy of relationship of five years. i'm in love!!! and she knows this. but anyway she was not with him and so we started talking because he was telling me what the manager told him about the position and we were only talkin bout the job but i saw her as i was talkin to him she came up on me at wal-mart. so i told him it was her and he wanted to talk to her, so i gave her the phone and they talked. but she was kinda lookin crazy, like y was i on the phone with him. but i always call that phone lookin for her..

I have a friend who tends to go on me and our other friends computers without asking, prints things off without asking (in colour might I add), makes things in your kitchen, etc.
She is the type of person that is SO bold, you just don't know what to say anytime she says or does something.
How would you get her to take the hint? Tell her boldly? or send hints? any other way? or just not have her around anymore?

Ok. Heres whats happening: I have two friends, and they have been dating for a while. Recently, the one friend "joe" told me that he really didn't like "jan" anymore and that he was going out w/ someone else "christie". I felt that it would be kinda bad not to tell "jan" about this, and when I told her somehow the word got out to everyone. After i told "jan", she broke up with "joe" until "joe" was able to convince everyone that I made everything up and that he still likes "jan". Now, "jan" thinks that I lied to her and doesn't like me, and also everyone else in highschool thinks im a liar. I know that "joe" still likes "christie" and now is deciding to break up with "jan", but is waiting. Since I'm kind of mad that "jan" doesn't believe me and right now isn't talking to me, what should I do? Should I just let her find out when "joe" decides to break up with her? Help please!

I’m graduating high school this year. I have had a lot of really bad experiences that I would like to forget. My question is…I’m curious to know if the way I am acting is normal because I’m a bit concerned for myself. I know that might sound strange but…I’ve pretty much cut off communication with a lot of my friends. The only people I really talk to now are my friends that are going to be attending the same college as me. Sadly enough many of them don’t attend the same high school as me. I’ve deleted a lot of friend’s phone numbers because I feel if my friends want to see me they will call me. I don’t know why I am acting the way I am it’s really unintentional but I’m curious to know if this is a normal thing that everyone goes through just cutting off communication with friends and not talking to them...

i hang out with these two girls and we are really good friends. but one of them is feeling like she is disliked always and her life sucks. her life doesn't suck, it's not perfect but nobodys is. she is always moping around. she says she has problems with her family and they alway yell at her and stuff,(happens to everybody) and then becasue of all of her self pity she is trying to make me and my other friend have a lot of pity on her and she doesn't need pity. no one needs pity. and it really pisses us off because we are all happy and whatever and then we look at her and its like FEEL BAD FOR ME!!! and we are just like AHHHHHHH!!

I used to hang out with this girl Toria. I thought she was cool. Well turns out- Toria changed since 9th grade. I only saw her at lunch. I didnt know no one else, so I started sitting with her. It was cool at first, but then toria started to get weird. Whenever I would talk to her she would make up stories about how she used to live in New York (when i already knew she didnt) and how she would get into fights, and she got raped-- and all these outrageous stories. I seriously thought something was wrong with her, because she would lie to me in my face, and i would know she was lying. I just went along with her. I got tired of her stupid stories and so I said that I didnt have the same lunch anymore. Shes concieted, she lies, and shes a bad friend. Yet she has the hottest boyfriend-- and I cant even set foot in the cafeteria. Who am i gonna eat with? i have to eat lunch in the bathroom now!!! Help? I dont want to be her friend anymore (for sure)and i want to eat lunch. With who??
