I have a friend who lies alot.I dont mean a little white lie but ones that make them look stupid. I met her about 3 1/2 years ago.And at first it was cool we were the best of friends we did everything together. Then she would start to lie aout things sooo silly. She was always telling everybody she was pregnant,and i was the only one who knew she wasnt. She also lied about having kids, she said she had three kids that lived in flordia with her moms sister. I asked her mom how her sister in flordia was doin and she looked at me like i was stupid and said i dont have a sister. After that i just started to belive her less and less. i was still her friend we just werent as close anymore. And recently i have cut off all connections with her because she was acting really weird. She started calling me non-stop wanting to know what i was doing where i was at and who i was with. i mean she was like she was my boyfriend or sumthin. it creeped me out. she wont stiop calling now. What should i do?

Wow, that's a little creepy, huh? I wonder why she was so obsessed with wanting to make herself look like she had kids or was pregnant? It sounds like she has a very needy attention problem...which isn't really something you can help her with. A compulsive liar? Yeah, maybe. I think maybe you should talk very seriously with her mom about it if you can...as for her non-stop calls, I'd pick it up and just tell it to her straight. Yeah, it may seem kind of insensitive, but she's not someone you want to associate with anymore. It doesn't mean you don't care at all, but you want her to leave you alone. So try picking it up and telling her exactly what you're doing and why. If she continues to call after that...I'm not sure. Talk to her mom or something. She'd get bored of calling you, eventually, if you never picked up again, right? Best of luck to you in this tough situation.

change your identity. i'm scared for you. seriously i had a friend that lied but her lies where not as big as your friend. i hated the fact that she lied so i just stopped talking to her. talk to her but not as much as you used to, give her hints that you dont want to be close with her anymore she'll stop talking to you for sure. good luck

if you can't change your phone # call the police and tell them it is illegal for her to stalk you. if you know her mom call her and tell her that what you have stated here and ask her to talk to her because she is scaring you. get an answering machine or voice mail and just don't answer if she calls. you can also get caller id so you know when it's her and not answer.

You need to tell her to stop lying, because it's just making you dislike her more and more, and she's probably going to do something bad that will mess her up for ever.

be straight forward with her and tell her that you can't stand people who are llying about themselfs. and true friends don't do that. and tell her you no longer want anything to with her. and that you want her to leave you alone.
