ive liked girl ( not saying her name) and ive liked her for about yr and half but she doesnt like me and no matter what i do i cant get over her. its hard for me to find another girl because there is only 115 kids at my school and stuff like that. any tips to help me get over her so i can move on with my life?

Most of my friends are married and have children, and so they invite me to their kids' birthday parties and expect me to buy gifts. You wont believe how much money I've spent over the years buying wedding presents, baby shower gifts, gifts for their kids' birthdays you name it. Yet, I choose not to get married or have kids and I don't even get a card from them on my birthday. I'm not trying to sound selfish and I actually don't even want them to buy me a present (that would be so childish) but I really am hesitant about buying any more gifts in the future! Should I start saving my money?? What would you do?

CRAP!!!!! It is just RUDE!!!!!! There is no such thing as shy - Ignorant and rude!!!

What does it take to say Hi, to a welcoming smily person???

I have said hello to people in the past and they just sit there!!! After feeling quite upset by tghe rudness, a mutual friends would point out they are shy????? WHAT????

RUDE!!! thats what they are!!!!

I'm not slagging 'shy' people off, just don't understand????

I have a friend, and I'm trying to work out if he likes me as more. He seems to have shown some signs, but he's shy so it's very hard to tell. There have been a couple of things that particularly puzzled me recently. The other day we were both at a mutual friend's house for dinner. For the first half of the evening he didn't really look at me, but for the second half of the evening he mostly made eye contact with me. Why was that? Also, I'd mentioned a photo of me on Facebook. He isn't on Facebook, but he told me a couple of days later that he'd seen the photo of me - he'd been looking on his friend's Facebook account. What should I make of these things?

My future sister-in-law is also my best friend and I miss her so much as she lives on the other side of australia with my brother (we only became best friends after she started going out with my brother).

Her birthday is in May - yes, I know that it is a few months away, but I want to get her something really special and nice.

I've had this friend for the past 7 years. We have done and shared everything together. I feel like we are at completly different points in our lives. I am trying to take the high road (going back to school, taking care of my family, ect.) and she is in denial of taking the low road (partying all the time, neglecting her children). I really love this friend but I don't know what to do. Her friendship seems to be causing me more stress than happiness right now. Is it time to move on with my life? Deep down I think I secretly feel like she is holding me back from acheiving my dreams.

OK, heres the Deal. My best friend has a pretty big family. And he has this couson who I have known for a while and is my good friend also. I am a guy and all 3 of us r 14 years old. My best friend is a guy and his couson a girl. I have known both of them for about 3 years now. I think i like her. We hang out alot and i think I kinda like her. Now if I tell her or my friend this could ruin my friendship with both of them. Who do I tell and when. I haven't talked to her in over a month, but we were very close. She is on drugs very badly and has dropped all contact with me. I feel like I need to contact her so she can't say I just abandoned her, but I don't know if she wants me to. Should i just act like I don't know or should I make an effort to let her know I care?

That face isn't sad enough!!

i hate myself because I don't have any friends but I'm not happy alone. I'm soo bored with everything and I just want to know what it feels like to be one of the normal people. I can't figure out what is wrong with me (I'm not bad looking if that matters) but it must be something pretty serious. I just want to go hang out with people like other people do! I play music but I barely practise anymore because what's the point if I have no one to play with! What is if like to just go watch movies or go to the mall with a group of people? I've done everything there is to try, including not doing anything! I hate being alone. I must be the only person who dreads weekends, in high school I couldn't wait for class to start because watching other people in the hall who have friends sucked more than classes! Saturday night TV is aweful! I've barely done anything exciting in my life because there is nothing fun that's worth doing alone!

My best friend (cant say name) is being abused by her father and it makes me cry because she has no mother to protect her. At my upcoming semi-formal I was just wondering if it would be ok to ask a friend for a dance, even though her bf will be there? That is if I get up the nerve to do it. Also would it be ok to ask a different friend for a dance who doesn't have a date to semi? Like what are the general guidelines with dancing with friends (btw both these friends I've had previous history with) or should I ask someone completely different like someone random on the dance floor? I guess it also doesn't help that I've never actually danced when i've gone to a dance before, though I would like to change that this time around!
