My future sister-in-law is also my best friend and I miss her so much as she lives on the other side of australia with my brother (we only became best friends after she started going out with my brother).

Her birthday is in May - yes, I know that it is a few months away, but I want to get her something really special and nice.

Any suggestions

I've always found that the best presents were the unexpected ones. If everyone knows that a person loves.... let's say action movies more than anything, then he/she won't be surprised when he/she unwraps the present. Think back to conversations you've had in the past with her. You should focus on a gift that speaks to something she's interested in, but wouldn't expect anyone to purchase a gift for. For example, if she had an interest in flying, I might buy her a free flying lesson (they aren't as expensive as you might think). Good luck!
