I am struggling to end a friendship still, (15 year friendship) If you were to put together a top 10 list of what a best friend, for you, has to have what would they be?
example:Truthful, Loyal, humorous, silly, macho, and sensitive.

I let my best friends boyfriend sleep on my couch because she lives w/her parents so he can't stay there..well all has been goin well until last night.He came home drunk & tried to get me to have sex with him..not once but twice..He had me pinned down on my bed, I got away from him then he pinned me against the wall..I don't want him to stay here anymore, but do I tell her why or just make something up??

I had a real good friend and we were so close and she meant a lot to me but i was stupid and messed up big by lieing to her and telling someone a secret that she asked me not to, i know it was so wrong but i was so mad because she also said hurtful things to me and it made me mad but i regret hurting her so much.. is it possible to have a good friend and lose them because of disagreements and fighting and still get the friendship back? if so how?

One of my BEST friends has been really mean to me on AIM. My friends told me to get rid of her. She called me and asked what my problem was. She said that I had been on like a few minutes before she called me, but i had been eating dinner. I dont know if she was making up excuses or if someone was on my account. Can anyone help me?

I recently (6 weeks ago) separated from my husband of 3+ years. Sunday I got an e-mail from my old high school boyfriend letting me know he heard a little bit about it and wanted me to hang in there, that he went thru a divorce about a year ago, etc. Last night we talked on the phone for the first time in 6 or 7 years for 2 hours and he ended up inviting me to stay in his guest room this weekend because he is taking some vacation time from work. It's about a 5-6 hour drive. Everything was very platonic and just catching up on the phone and I am not interested in rekindling anything. Would it be very unwise to go?

my best friend of 6 years hasnt talked to me in almost 2 months. She doesnt answer my phone calls or call back. Anyway I was the one who had thre right to be mad at her and now shes mad at me. Her boyfriend also suddenly hates me (he thinks what she thinks because I swear he cant think for himself) and talks about me to her. I feel like I'm in middle school or something. i mean we are 20. I basicaly stopped calling her because I dont want to be the only one putting in the effort to save this friendship. Am i doing the right thing?

Okay, I babysit for a friend every afternoon when her daughter gets out of school. My friend does not pay me which is fine, and I help her out because she doesn't have a lot of money to pay for after school care for her daughter. I understand where she's coming from, but lately it seems like she is overstepping her bounds. She doesn't get home when she says she'll be home and doesn't ever offer to watch my kids for me. I was very short with her this morning b/c she's supposed to be home at 3:30 today, but left for work late so it will be closer to 5:30. This is really starting to interfere with my alone time with my own kids and my own work schedule. (I have flexible hours) I need to know a tactful way to tell her she needs to either be here when she's supposed to be here or find another sitter or start keeping my kids from time to time. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have some problems with my best friend. we've been "best" friends since last year and my problem is she only talks to me when she needs something or wants to tell something about her boy friend. And she's always hanging-out with her 'boy friends' (i mean male friends) during recess. what should I feel/act or think when we're together? should I tell her go away from me since she has many other friends?

But the twist is I'm the only person she's telling her secrets and problems.
