Well the distrust will be there for a while, but if you apologize sincerely then it should be ok. Tell her how much she means to you and explain your actions ( dont make excuses) And tell her it will never happen again, and if it does what she can do about it. That should resolve the issue.

In my 30 short years on this earth I have learned that sometimes we must live and let go. I experienced the same pain loosing a very close friend.
I wanted so badly to remain friends after we went through several disagreements but, in my heart it was just to hard. The trust was gone and the loyalty that I thought we had was no longer something I believed we shared.
Their are plenty of people in this world chalk that friendship up as a loss and move on.

If you felt so strong about this other person why would you tell a secret to someone else when she asked you not to? You must of though this secret was quite bizarre. The only thing you can do now is talk with your close friend and tell her why you didn't keep her secret quiet. She will either understand or she won't. If she feels as close to you as you are to her then she may forgive you. I hope you have a good explanation. Cocoa

It is possible to get her friendship back but it takes time and you have to earn her trust. Give her time and open a line of communication with her such as maybe write a letter and tell her how you feel. It's a small start but it's still a start none the less.

Communication is the best thing. I would sit down and talk to each other. Explain how you were hurt and listen when she explains how she was hurt by you. Just listen and then try to work things out. You will know right then whether or not the friendship can work. Good luck!

A similar situation like that happened to me, yes I do say forgive, but It is so hard to trust that friend again after they have hurt you in such away. Im not saying that you can't get your friendship back, but it will be hard to take things back the way they were.

Yea you can get the friendship back. Just tell them you know you can never do anything to fix what you did and tell them you messed up. Tell them your sorry and you really want to keep your friendship and tell them you hope they can forgive you.

Life is not perfect. People are people and everyone is trying to get through life. I wouldn't dwell on the past. Be the person you want to be, and whatever friends like you that way is a natural outcome.

apologize if she wont talk to you ask one of your friends to tell her for you, she has probably been hurt before so you dont want to hurt her again, even though you already did, + so her how much you feel about her, she will come around
DONT DO ANYTHING STUPID
