Friends - January 2007

My 'best' friend who i love to bits has previously been through threatened suicide kind of depression she early 30s and says she doesnt expect to make it to her 40th 'because lifes to hard'.
I would usually and have previously when asked dropped what i was doing and gone to meet her when she has wanted to meet because she's having a bad day. Thing is I've had a really bad 3wks i can't complain to her because of her problems (and shes not a great listener), every wk she has something wrong i didnt want to hear about it today, when she text me asking me to meet her i lied and said i was cooking lunch. I would've had to change clothes, i had unwashed hair... Is it really bad that as a bestfriend i lied because i didnt want to hear about her problems AGAIN when i've got my own stuff to deal with even though thats what friends should do?

have come to a conclusion that my friend mite be gay/curious. he acts gay sometimes. are there any ways/tell tale signs that he might be gay without asking him? ...thanks.

My roommate has recently got a boyfriend that I don't exactly care for.. they are always here at the house and I basically hide in my bedroom to avoid being a 3rd wheel. The thing that is bugging me is that we both go halfers on groceries, and yet he is over all the time for supper and breakfast. I don't really want to pay for him to eat. Is it reasonable to want him to chip in for groceries if he is going to be eating them all the time? Also, he brings his daughter over (not my roommates kid) and I just think it is weird.. I like kids, but don't exactly wanting them running around the house (our place isn't a damn daycare)... are these things that I should just get over? or should I talk to my roommate about it? If you think I should talk to her, can you give me ideas about what to say? Thanks.

a good time..on the way home we saw a "nice deer" right near our home...we were driving real slow and he said he was coming back to kill it...i tooted the horn so it would run away and oh my gosh he blew up...i have seen him mad before but i think this was the worst...he said F.... you and everything... he gets out of the car and throws his glass and liquor bottle at the side of the trailer and puts a whole in the siding...was i that much of a bi....ch to do what i did... i mean he was drunk and he did not need to be driving with a gun to shoot a deer illegally -not even being deer season anymore and to at night....was i so wrong

My best friend is almost exaclty a year younger than me. She is still in high school and I am not. About three months ago I started kinda seeing her best guy friend. Things were fine with that at first but then she started getting weird and telling me she wished she never introduced us. I stopped seeing him about two months later, not because of her but for other reasons. I then started seeing my high school sweetheart and she was still weird about it. Ever since then, things between us arent the same as they used to be and i dont like it. She always has to have our guy friends at her house and if they call me and not her she gets an attidude towards me. Lately, I really do not feel like being her friend, because she makes so angry all the time. I feel like she is trying to single me out so she has all the attention. I sit back and think, "Hey *****, your a year younger, why are you acting like this towards me when I'm supposed to be your "best friend"".

My ex-friend and I have been friends with benefits for the past 4 months but lately his closed me off because he dont feel comfortable dating someone and we're really good close friends. He feels like its unfair to her and all I dont know what I should because its not the first time that his closed me off as his friend and all he can offer me right now is a few nights a week for about 5-10 minutes. When we use to talk almost everynight for hours about things. I'm just not sure if I want to put myself in a situtation where I can get hurt again. He knows that I would like for us to get back together someday but for now I'm ok with good close friends I just want that chance to see if things can work. We dated for 11 months and were exemetly close and had a deep connection but things ended badly and I just want to see if things could work if we matured some more. I just dont know how to handle the position he has put me in.

I've been invited to a friends housewarming party that's also a joint birthday party for her house mate. My friend who invited me will be the only person I know there. I'm nervous and don't want to just be clinging on to my friend!

and its been hard and a struggle since then. Last week my nan was told she had lung cancer and is dying. My boyfriend of 7 years told me he does't want to b with me anymore as he's been seeing someone else. My best friend (my younger sis is going away 2 uni in sept. I know this is nothing compared to what some people have to go through, but with everything happening all at once i frankly can't cope. Will anti-depressents help. I'm only 24 and am worried that takin these may affect future jobs as I know it affects things like life insurance and national insurance payments become higher as your viewed as a higher risk. I really don't know what else 2 do. I'm normally a very logical person

my friend was shot and he doesnt want to go to the hospital. he has 4 bullet holes he is in bad shape and he wont go .we have tried everything. and nothing has helped. we pulled out 2 bullets but hes still in pain i need all the idaes i can get. no matter how bad they are.

I have these two friends named "penDUH" and "cinderblock" and they're SOOO dumb! they're always telling bad jokes and putting tomatoes in their socks (seriously)! "Cinderblock" does this thing where she sucks in her face and says "hi im paul" to random people making out!?

what should i do? should i send them to a therapist?

I am seriously considering moving to Baltimore in September. I have been living here in Michigan for about 5 years now and I am sick of the lack of job opportunites in this state. In Maryland I have friends and family that will look out for me. The only bad part about leaving Michigan is that I have a 5 year old god son here that I love very very much. He is my little baybeee and has been a part of my life ever since he was 4 months old. His mother and I don't get along very well and only really keep in contact because of him. I know that if I move out of Michigan she will not allow me to see him and if I did come here for a visit, I wouldn't want to stay in her house. What should I do? I really want to move to Maryland because I have no family or true friends here in Michigan and I'm tired of the lack of jobs. But I will also miss my little baybeee very very much.

Hey. Off the back of the Radio 1 "I have never..." thingy, I thought I'd try to get in contact with one of my old school friends from Framingham Earl High School. He's called Ricky Burton, he's about 25 years old, and I've not spoken to him ever since we left high-school about...urrm... 8 years ago.
