Friends - January 2007

Well, a bunch of guys are girls are supposably "hooking" up. Well the guys are just a bunch of perverted idiots who think they are os cool. The girls on the other hand are clueless and despret for a date. Well these girls are also my friends and I don't know what to do. I know or have a very strong feeling that the guys are up to something, like they be only doing this to see who gets kiss their girl first because some of them are like that. I care about my friends and don't knwo what to do. Anyone know what the guys might do or what I shoudl do. I don't want to ask them myself because they'll start making fun of me and etc.

I have a whole group of nothing but guy friends (I'm a female), and only 1 or 2 female friends. When my guy buddy's bring around their GF's I try to become friends with them but they are never really interested. I want to have more female friends to hang out with, go shopping, talk about guys with and so on. How can I make more female friends? And why won't my guy friends' GFs' befriend me?

Even though she's younger than me, she's turned into something short of a bully. We've been friends since we were both kids and grew up together. Lately (In the past two years) she's changed, and begun to insult me (ie, 'you dress like a pig') and acting as though she's superior to me. I've tried to think of any possible thing I could have to make her angry with me, but I can't.
I used to enjoy her friendship and don't want to push her away. But how can I get her to stop being insulting and generally childish towards me and still be friends?

Hi, if you had a fight with someone you care about and you have threatened legal action on them if they contact you again and they are still emailing you (not with bad things though) would you follow through to show them you were serious? I get the periodic email from them but something is stopping me from taking action as I have threatened. Am I being weak?

The girl who was staying with me and my child in our studio for almost 3 wks is harrassing me. Today, she left me voice and text messages cussing me out and threatening me (I just blocked her from texting me). I can't believe this is the same "friend" I helped! Mabye I shouldn't have lost my cool when she refused to pay half the rent and didn't give me money for the week but I don't deserve this.

She didn't react the same way when her sister threw away her things or when her brothers threw her out of their home. They even ridiculed her! Why is she behaving so disrespectful to me?

Now I know for sure that she pretended to care about me so that I could let her stay with me because if you care about someone you wouldn't treat them this badly.

I want to talk to her pastor or someone who knows her at her church so they can help her with her mental issues. Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the church or the phone #s of any of her friends/family.

So I was at this new years eve party and got drunk as well as my friend. We are both girls and both 14. I am so scared she is going to feel awkward around me. she had moved to our town in 5th grade because her dad got a job here but when her dad was killed in a car accident she moved back to whasington state. i am in pennsylvainia and miss her so much. on her birthday i want to visit her by surprise and spend a week with her. i am now in seventh grade and she moved in the middle of 6th. i was thinking this because before she left she told me lots of people wanted to be her friend after they heard what had happened and but she said that i was her only true friend... very sappy but true..

I feel uncomfortable about giving a gift, what to do?
I have bought similar gifts for all my friends (girls) I bought Bath And Body works flavored soap. SO I gave all the gifts to all the girls but one, so this one calls me today just to talk and asks me what I gave everyone for Holidays, so I told her and she was like, eww soap? I woun't be happy if someone gave me soap...

ok so i have this friend... ill call her Jessica, she used to be my BEST FRIEND (in 7th grade) and everything we had so much in commen. But this year (8th grade) i noticed she has started to have theese mood swings.. its almost like she is bi-polar (literally) She is only happy if a guy likes her and is totally upsessed with her looks. Like she will not let anyone see her w. make up off. and when all of us are at a sleep over she will put more make up on b4 bed so she looks the best. and makes comments like.. dont wear that b.c u will look better than me. or u caint wear that. and stuff she has to be the center of attention. at this point i cant wait for highschool. i want to sart gradually breaking away from her... how sould i go about it?

My friend has become this huge loser. All he wants to do is smoke pot and play video games all day. He is 24. I used to look up to him when I was younger. I'm 18. When he was 16 and I was 10 I wanted to be like him. He got really good grades in school and was going to go to college. Then he graduated and couldn't afford to go to college. His parents were going to pay but then they couldn't afford it. He got a bad job and started hanging out with these losers. I have tried to help him for the past 4 years. I asked a close female friend that we need to lose contact for awhile-so that I can get over my feelings for her.She said “If thats how you feel sweetheart,ok and that maybe you do need time out”.She only wants to be friends.The conversation ended with an argument, with her calling me 2 faced and selfish.(asked her if she ever felt anything for me and for her to be truthful).Why would she call me this? We're close friends.

We've not spoken for a whole month.I have tried calling\txting(last 2 days) and have got no response from her.For christmas I sent a card saying how important the friendship is to me and how special she is.In the txt I wrote how stupid I behaved and I regret it,would do anything to make amends. Why hasn't she responded to the missed calls\txts???Also the xmas card?

Could I have offended\hurt her really that much-how could I if she agreed to no contact?

Does this mean the friendship was never genuine?Will we speak again--or is she clearing her head?
