she had moved to our town in 5th grade because her dad got a job here but when her dad was killed in a car accident she moved back to whasington state. i am in pennsylvainia and miss her so much. on her birthday i want to visit her by surprise and spend a week with her. i am now in seventh grade and she moved in the middle of 6th. i was thinking this because before she left she told me lots of people wanted to be her friend after they heard what had happened and but she said that i was her only true friend... very sappy but true..
also i would tell her mom ahead of time of course so she would know and i would make plans with her.

I think you should visit her by surprise but it's always better for you to make a call while your in town. Don't spring up on her too much, Just make a nice friendly visit. Good Luck. And i'm sorry about your friend's dad.

Let go and Let God. In time she will get what's coming to her. Nothing in this world goes unchecked. I could have hated my coworker because she was very, and I mean very, difficult to work with. Bad attitude, conniving, back-stabbing, obnoxious, cursed, rude to other coworkers and the public. We both had the same title, technically the work should have been shared, but wasn't. I never complained and did most of the work. Day before I retired, I was temporarily assigned to another dept. to cover someone. When I got back to my dept. there were two piles of files on my desk that looked like the Twin Towers. I guess my coworker thought I'd do it, without complaining, while she surfed the net. She was wrong. I didn't touch them and took pictures, just in case. Supervisor wanted to know why the files weren't processed. Told her "Since we both held the same title, and since this work should have been split-don't expect me to do it, and by the way-how come IT doesn't monitor my coworker's usage on the net??" I knew the answer-coworker's sucked up to management/selling her soul. Better her than me. When I came in the next morning, those files had magically disappeared. Never argued with coworker. My desk/locker were cleared out a month ago-that's how badly I couldn't wait to get out of there. Someone else may have hated that coworker enough to seek revenge. Seeking revenge = ulcers. Didn't want those going into retirement. She's another one who'll get hers in due time.

EXCELLENT!!!!! I met my best friend when I was 5 years old. When I moved around age 8 or 9, (to long ago to remember) we vowed to stay friends and be each others brides maids. We were both in Calif. This was in the mid to late 60s, when I got married in the late 70s she was there standing by my side with tears in her eyes. My husband and I moved to his home state of Texas(after he got out of the service) and I was unable to do the same for her, I had children by this time and was pregnant to boot couldn't travel. But true friends last a life time. If she called me today right now and asked me for help of any kind or to come to her aid I would find away to do so. I now live in MN, she is still in Calif. Bless you and always stay in touch with her. :)

I think it is a wonderful idea to visit her but be sure to clear it with her Mother and make sure she doesn't have any plans you could be interfering with. True friends are the best and you can never have too many. Enjoy and make some great memories.

I think that it is a lovely idea, as long as both your parents and her mother are on board. Have you been keeping in touch with her? Just be aware that sometimes relationships change when you don't get to see each other every day. I hope she likes your surprise. Have fun!
