you do not tell "anyone" you do not like them, you do not have to like anyone..that is your life and your choice. you do not have to announce it. but etiquette makes it a rule you be discreet and polite about it. there are ways acceptable --like you talk to your friend and hint you have "someone special" in mind whom you think will be your boy friend and you value your platonic friendship with the current one etc. etc... no one can put words into your mouth it has to come from your heart but uttered via your mouth (without a kiss) hope it helps.
