Friends - January 2007

For about a year now, I have been fed up with my 2 friends who are married.This goes back to when she got pregnant and they stopped wanting to do anything but sit at thier house.That's fine and dandy, but sometimes I feel you just want to go out to enjoy frineds and family.I have gone out with them 1 time in the last year to hang out, not including being at their place or their parent's place.
For Christmas, I bought them a gift card to a restaurant hoping they may go out and enjoy themselves.I also bought their sons some toys.I received no gift in return.Let me state for the record that I know Christmas is about giving, but it is also the thought that counts.Should this bother me as much as it has?
They ask me via the internet why they don't hear from me and I am torn on how to respond.I want to tell them that I am sick of going over there to help them watch their children and feel they only call when they need soemthing.Is telling them (again) that the phone works both way wrong?

My best friend always seems to fall in love with verbally or physically abusive boys. What i tried to do was tell her who would be good to her, or threaten the boy, or talk to her about it. She listens to me and she knows I'm right because I tell her what she's worth. Shes such a great girlfriend and she doesnt deserve boys like that. Basically, shes scared to break up with them. What would you do?

we are friend with eachother for 2 years. i do really love him. 3 months ago he told me that he wants to marry with another girl. he told me that he doesnt love her and they werent friend with each other. his mother told him to get marry with that girl. he said he cant marry with me because of some political problems! i wanted to end my relationship but he didnt accept. and told me he doesnt marry yet! all of his families member see me. he is famous, handsome, rich and politician. what should i do? can i do s.th that he accept to marry with me?

I'm pretty friendly, and I have friends it's just I seem to make them feel awkward. Everytime I try to hold a conversation with people it's like it ends abruptly, or I don't know what to say. Maybe it's a confidence issue.

But just wondering, are there any tricks to making someone comfortable (so that you can talk with them, joke around whatever)? I'm also not incredibly close with any of my friends. Their there but I don't get to seem them but once a week. What makes you comfortable around others? is it just that you're comfortable with who you are and draw people to you?

I'm foreign, 20 yrs old , I have a pretty decent life in America but still I don't like it..
Please do not get offended. I know some will say go back to your country, I really can't wait to do that but I have to stay here until I get my masters degree in 4 years.. This is a good country to make money, get a good job,it has a very good education system, but still :(

I am feeling depressed ever since I came to this country.. I got separated from my friends, my best friend, my boyfriend , and everyone...
I only have my parents and my brother here...

After 2 years of long distance relationship my BF brokeup with me..

I miss him and I miss my friends and I can't seem to get along with Americans, not enough to have STRONG friendships..

The problem is, everyone here ia pressuring me to forget my past and start a new life, to date a local guy (there is nothing wrong with them they'r cute) and have Local friends..

Is there anything wrong with me?

K, so all of my friends (age 18-20) are married now. I'm supportive as can be, but it's really starting to bother me. In the past 5 months, 14 of them are married, or are about to be in a short time. I love them all, but they are excluding me from the "group" because I havent married my bf of 2 years now. Most of them still live at home with parents, no jobs, no school, and married the 1st person theyve ever dated. Whenever we go out now, they dont have fun and say i'm too much of a "riot" for them when we're together. I dont want to settle down yet, but I want my friends back. Now i'm just a "pointless college student" as they say. I find it odd that I "party too hard" considering up until a few months ago, they were the exact same way. I dont want to be pushed out of the "group" just because i'm not married yet. I don't know what to do now. I'm starting to wonder if something is wrong with me for not wanting to settle down at 19. I hate it now, and dont know what to do. help.

2007 is a new beginning, new hopes, new dreams and new doors for opportunities. This year, I feel like helping people by conducting charity events or bazaars. my friend spiderman is so munipulated by his grandmother, she complains about everything, talk about everybody. she s a two face. a few months back he had a fight with his cousin who was living with them. now his cousin has become my friend. after the fight spiderman and his cousin are enemies. now i m still friends with his cousin. i have known him for 11 years now.
spiderman always confronts me about me talking to him, but i feel stuck in the middle his cousin didnt do anything wrong to me and also spiderman has the tendency of fogiving people and taking them back. just the other day his grand mother had a talk wit my mother about why do we socialize with there relative. its becoming annoying what should we do??

Ok! last year i was suppose to have went to the same school as my best friend right? But now my boyfriend goes to the same school as my best friend. I want to be wit them at the same school, but my mom want let me. she thinks that the school that my best friend & boyfriend goes to isn't teachin anything and she don't want me to go, but that's not true!!! Even though the school that i am in now is a 7 day period school & the school that i want to go to is a 4 day period school and my mother had said that it will mess up my credits.
