I'm pretty friendly, and I have friends it's just I seem to make them feel awkward. Everytime I try to hold a conversation with people it's like it ends abruptly, or I don't know what to say. Maybe it's a confidence issue.

But just wondering, are there any tricks to making someone comfortable (so that you can talk with them, joke around whatever)? I'm also not incredibly close with any of my friends. Their there but I don't get to seem them but once a week. What makes you comfortable around others? is it just that you're comfortable with who you are and draw people to you?

If the conversation ends quickly...maybe you talk too much..or, maybe you tell a story for TOO long. Watch how people react when you talk...are they looking into the distance? Are they leaving while you're still talking? Pay attention to the signals of boredom.

Are you saying things that are inappropriate? This can make people very uncomfortable. Try to THINK before you speak...even if you're only telling jokes. Sometimes we speak before we think.

I'm impulsive...so I understand what you're going through...just try really hard to let the other person do the talking...do not interrupt.

TWO THINGS: Don't interrupt AND Don't joke TOO much..

See if this helps...

I smile all the time. People can't help but smile back. Then the door is open for your sparkling personality to come in and wow them!
