Friends - January 2007

I am a 42 year old single mother of a 15 and a 17 year old. I have a job that makes slightly more than minimum wage. I am in a very unhealthy living situation, because of my financial situation. I would just like to provide a peaceful and safe condition for my children. My children and I have been through alot in are live, but have never given up. We need help. We are strong in our faith and are praying for a miracle and asking God everyday for one. My children deserve a place to call home again.

My friends hang out w/ popular girls and i kinda do now since, well, i'm not dumping my friends cuz they hang out w/ people who think they're better than everyone else!!!!
I just feel really a lot like i don't fit in withthe popular people and i know that i do, cuz i'm pretty and i have really good grades and a lot of friends, i'm announced a lot on morning announcements, so yeah, but i just don't feel like i'm enough for them. That's how they all feel i know and i have friends in the popular group but it doesn't feel right. Cuz it's not like they're mean to anyone or anything, they just make funof people...okay that's mean i guess...but really they THINK that they're better than everyone but that just lessens them as people. I don't think this is wear i fit but i do have actual friends who aren't mean and who hang with these people so i don't know. I try to pull away but it's too hard i struggle w/out the spotlight i guess. I crave 2 b popular but i don't want to be mean...Help?

In the last three weeks, I've had more then I could possibly think I could handle happen.
1. My boyfriend is in Iraq, we are very close, his leave was scheduled for January, we flying down to Texas so I could meet his family it got canceled at the last minute.

2. We broke up & then got back together, it was all over a misunderstanding. He thought I was wanting to break up with him I thought he wanted to break up with me...

3. One of his best friends died while they were serving together.

4. I had to rush my puppy to the emergency room because he was sick.

5. I got sick & missed 2 weeks of pay, pretty much between that my dog & the doc & vet bills I've drained all of my savings account.

6. My mom & I had a huge fight

7. Last weekend my mom had a stroke just released from the hospital

8. I'm working 3 jobs just to get by.

9. I got into a car accident yesterday that was my fault & totaled my car, I had just dropped down to liability for cheaper payments.

My mother had left the house, and I didn't hear where she said she was going. I called my brothers name a few times and he didn't respond. Then, I went upstairs and knocked on his door and he was sitting on his chair and looked like he was asleep. I called his name again and his head moved and he leaned up. I went over to him and his eyes were bloodshot red, like he had been crying or something, and he was speaking in a very, very soft weird voice. I've heard before that after people do drugs their eyes get red, am I overreacting or should I be worried? Do you think he had been crying?

My friend is turning into a monster!

She brags about the following:

Her husband is better than everyone else's.
How expensive their wedding was (all paid by her mother-in-law).
How she is pregnant and her baby is going to be cuter than everyone else's baby.

But what bugs me the most is her bragging about money 24/7! She brags that her ring was $17,000 which was handed down to her by her husband's grandma.

The truth is that they have no money at all, her husband is poor, she is on disability and they had to get state assistance to pay for all her prenatal care since they are low income. They live in a small one bedroom apartment that they can barely afford. His family isn't really rich like the act and give my friend no money.

Why is she bragging so much?

I have a happy marriage, pregnant with my first baby, and I actually do have money and I would never go around bragging like her. Its embarassing.

I dont like anything about it. The weather is completely different (too hot and humid) unlike alaksa where the weather is cold and snowy. No one here likes me. They think im strange and differnt cuz im the new kid in school and no one believes me when i told them i moved here from AK. I had to get all new clothes cuz its too hot here. Okay, so I have this boyfriend. We've been dating for about two months now, and I was really starting to like him, falling for him you could very well say. And yesterday, I called up my best friend and we were hanging out, she was sitting in the living room with him when I went into the kitchen to snag a couple drinks for us all (there were about four other people there too) and I get to the doorway and I see my best friend and my boyfriend making out, I freak and manage to get away without my presence being noticed standing there at the doorway. and now i don't know how to bring it up to him, or how to go about talking about what happend, i mean im mortified, why would my bestfriend do this to me??and why would my boyfriend do this to me???
