1. Be nice and friendly to everyone you meet. Always treat them with respect, even if they are mean. (Some people are mean to the new kid, but if you are nice to them in return, they will warm up to you).
2. Get involved with as many activities are you are comfortable with participating in. Pick things you are interested in, and you have a ready-made conversation starter. This is the best thing you can do.
3. Talk to people. Lots of people. Ask them how they are doing. Ask them about themslves. Then, most importantly, listen to what they have to say.
4. Have a good sense of humor. You'll need this more than anything!

u can make new friends anywhere. if ur in a line, start talking to the person next to u. they might turn out to be a really nice, interesting person. or if u see someone who looks like they need help, help them out. thats a really good way to start a friendship. just be friendly and b4 u know it u'll have tons of friends. =)
