Friends - December 2006

There's this kid who I used to be friends with earlier in the year, but he's been getting weirder and more annoying, so I've kind of tried to lessen our friendship by not talking as much. It worked, but a new problem has arose... HE SMELLS! He's in one of my classes and friends with a lot of my friends (or just tolerated because nobody's mean enough to say he's annoying to his face) so I can't tell him. I don't want to seem mean or anything, and have my friends be mad at me... but this is no normal stench we're dealing with. It's not the usual body odor, it's something way worse. It stings your nose and lungs, and I'm prone to respitory sicknesses so it really affects me if I have to sit near him. I can't handle the stink, and although I dislike him, I don't want be mean by telling him to go bathe or something, and get my friends angry at me... What should I do?

my ex girl and i have been split for 6 months now. to this day we remain good friends hang out together as we have mutual friends. i still luv her she knows this and she cares about me and our friendship etc. she has found happiness with another guy but still remains in contact with me. helps me as a friend. she left me so why all the effort to remain friends??? you can still remain good friends with a guy without all the contact etc cant u??? we keep telling eachother we need space as i still have feelings for her but yet we both seem to somehow stay in touch constantly. what should i do??? she has nothing more to gain from me and we both know we will be not be back together in a relationship sense?? girls help me out here!!!

I'm a college freshman and, although the semester is almost over, I still haven't made any friends...I get the impression it's because I'm not into partying all the time, drinking alcohol, and smoking...and I don't plan on changing that for anyone! Still, it is very deppressing sometimes especially when I need someone to talk to, given that I am 7 hours away from home! I honestly have no friends at all & it's proving very hard for me to make new ones...and on top of everything else, I am shy!

I have a friend, who I met last year. We will call her “X” X didn’t have any friends and so my best friend and I started hanging out with her. X seemed annoying, but soon she got to be a lot of fun, and really nice. Then X started lying no-stop, and about EVERYTHING! X considers us her “best friends” but we don’t know anything about X and visa versa. X also has a very bad temper.

X works with my best friend, so they are together a lot. (aka: no escaping her!!!!)

We are all seniors, and will be graduating in 6 months. Is it even worth the trouble of bothering with her? Should we just suck it up until graduation???

Suggestions!?

Please help me...this isn't like him. He called me today, and he was COMPLETELY drunk...he's stuttering, slurring his sentances, and is so delusionally happy, its scary. My other friend and i dont know what to do...we know this isn't the real him, and he's convinced its not a big deal. My other friend and i were on the phone with him for hours, sobbing and telling him never to do this again. But he just started laughing at us and telling us we were taking it to seriously. I'm so worried about him...at this point, he is so drunk, he would do anything. I'm worried he would steal his mom's car or something and take it for a spin...and then get into an accident...because at this point, i wouldnt be surprised it that happened. Please help us...

okay umm my school has been a COMPETITION squad for about 20 years already and this year we have a new principle and he wants to make it a SPIRIT squad!!!!!!! ahhh! thats horrible we are proffesional dancers not the "cheerleader stereotype" so this really sucks.we always get nationals for him to not let us go to competition.we can only cheer at games or special events .
another problem we hardly ever have any events because he cancellled ALL our dances! we only have a football game and a volleyball game THIS IS NOT FAIR! what can we do?

please DO NOT IGNORE this is important to me and there will problably not be cheerleading next year because he wants to cancel EVERYTHING :(

ok i have a 'friend' that ive known for years. we are good talkers about subjects like boys ect. and thats why i always liked being her friend. over the summer, she changed a whole lot. that isnt the problem, because as people go into highschool that happens. the people she hangs out w/ are the problem.two of them ruined my 7th and 8th grade years with bullying and taunting that will forever leave a scar. she has still continued to be friends with them, and stick up for them. it hurts, because they have ruined my life that she continues to stick up for them, also, her other friends are very different people, and unfriendly, some of them scary.i am treated really badly around them. then you ask me why i have continued to be friends with her while i have other good friends? because we have alot of classes together,& we pass eachother in the halls alot, and i have tried so many times to be mad at her, and its not easy. we always end up being friends again its hard to be mad at her. A few weeks ago, one of my best friends (we'll call her jill) told me that she could not be around me as long as I was with my fiance! (We were having problems at the time, which we are trying to work out) I really figured this would be something that would eventually blow over with her, after all we've been friends all for over 3 years.
