Please help me...this isn't like him. He called me today, and he was COMPLETELY drunk...he's stuttering, slurring his sentances, and is so delusionally happy, its scary. My other friend and i dont know what to do...we know this isn't the real him, and he's convinced its not a big deal. My other friend and i were on the phone with him for hours, sobbing and telling him never to do this again. But he just started laughing at us and telling us we were taking it to seriously. I'm so worried about him...at this point, he is so drunk, he would do anything. I'm worried he would steal his mom's car or something and take it for a spin...and then get into an accident...because at this point, i wouldnt be surprised it that happened. Please help us...

His dad abandoned them a while ago, and his mom isnt home. And i live 30 mins away, so i cant go over there to be with him...

contact his parents and let them know that you are concerned about your best friend. Friends are friends forever and tuff love is hard but its better than going to his funeral or visiting him in prison

The absolute best thing would be to call the parents. At first he may be a bit pissed off but will soon realise that you did it for the best reasons, and because you care. You have to explain the reasons you did it is because 1. it is totally illegal and 2. because you are scared for him, and you worry. If he then wants to end a friendship with you over this, it totally isn't worth worrying over all the time and he wasn't the good friend that you thought. Ask him to put himself in your shoes (when he is sober of course) and see what he would do. If he says, "nothing at all" then i would seriously question your friendship. I would take it seriously because usually people drinking or doing drugs are usually trying to hide from a problem. If this was a one time thing then maybe he learned his lesson but if he continues to do it then there probably is a problem and you should tell his parents or somebody that can help. You probably should tell his parents or somebody that can help now so there is not a next time. He probably will be angry with you for telling but doing drugs or drinking is usually a cry for help. Maybe he is hurting inside and needs to talk to someone but is to afraid to do so. You are right to worry about him doing something stupid or dangerous as you hear about that all the time with people drinking or taking drugs. Now that I am writing and thinking about this more you should tell someone now and help your friend before something bad happens. Good luck!

You need to tell an adult now!!! If your friend gets mad at you so be it but you could be saving his life. If this isn't the first time it has happened, he needs help. As you have discovered, it is impossible to reason with someone who is drunk. Please go now and tell someone, this is someones son.

go to his house if his parents are there make some kind
of lie don't let them find out.that your going there because
he's drunk.take a big bucket of water and pour it on him
find out a way to put him to sleep but first make sure you
got the smell out of his mouth.good luck.

he might KILL himself
he might get HURT
he needs 2 stop or if he doesnt...he could hurt anyone....even YOU!! what i would do if tell him i wouldnt be his frined if he didnt stop and YOU should i no its hard but he will get the picture
and i feel really sorry for you this would be a horrible situation

He probably cant find his mom's car. Don't worry about it. It wont be long and he'll be asleep or puking his guts out.

Let his parents know. He is young and he should not get into anything he is not supposed to get into.
