Friends - December 2006

I am in a dance group at school. Apparently my dance partner thinks that I like him.
There is this part where we have to salsa dance and a part where I must stare in his eyes to create charisma, emotion and tension and attracrtion. I'm not worried about doing that, I just feel uneasy and I want to change my dance partner but it is too late now.
He told me he does his part for real and that he keeps on thinking about me. I don't want him to see me as more just as friends because we are.
My boyfriend hates my dance partner so much,I can understand that. What should I do?

I smile, ask questions about them, try to make interesting conversation yet still I feel I am just nusiance to a lot of people. I have never had many friends because i was DORK in school. (not dorky now)What social skill is missing? I felt that lack of friendship strong when the people i am talking about did not come to my recent wedding or give a gift or a card or NOTHING.

my brother is causing so many arguments between my family. he decided to go into my room n steal 250 pounds from my safe, to get a tounge pericing n his gf bday pres. my parents went made at the pericein cause a few years ago my older bro got it done n it swelled up n he could have died. they have told him he either takes it out or leaves. ( my parents arnt our real parents we were both adopted) n he says he doesnt care as they arent our real parents n that he wishes that we were all dead. he now has toldme that i have to chose between him n them, they only problem is that my adoptive parents have been my paretns since i was 3 n i am now 16. i love them to bits but i dont want to lose my brother as he is the only real family i have left. it is all over a tounge percing n i am in the middle. i need ideas of how to keep my family together. plz help

I have a friend that live's in a home that is disguisting. some part's of the roof are caving in, there are holes in some part's of the floor, the sewer doesn't work all that well, the electricty is all messed up; some time's certain area's of the house light's work and sometime's they dont. Her father wont do anything about it unless he is forced. So that is what i am trying to help her find information about.
Who do i call in washington state that could give me information on making them move out of the home, or forcing her father to fix things ?

Hi Friends !!! My problem is personal, but I want answer on humanitarian grounds.
My cousin sister is a professional writer and writing books for the last 4-5 years.
Few days back she requested me to help her in her computer work as well as proof reading work. I agreed because we are very close with each other. Initially, she told me she would be paying me as per market rates. She took my help not only once but 4 times. However, I was flabbergasted when she tried to compensate me by giving small and old gifts like old clothes. I refused to accept those gifts. She showed her annoyance but I politely said ‘no’. Now, what should I do, I am really not able to forget about the labour I put in for her and her unethical approach, in reality, is heartbreaking and hurting. Can any one of you suggest me what exactly should I do, should I forget about my labour or should I discontinue doing work for her, I am completely confused.

once before i have came 2 yahoo and told them that some ppl was threatening a friend of mine now they have found him and killed him thanks yahoo 4 nothing u did not investagate what was going on in yahoo and now u can't bring his life back either it doesn't make and sense ppl can't go in chat rooms with out being threaten or some freak trying 2 show his private if there is a way i wish i can sue yahho 4 not looking into this matter and seeing that these ppl never had access 2 get in yahoo

Ok well I've seen this girl before at school and she became my cousins friend. My cousin who just had her 18th birthday invited this so called friend. You see I opened the door and I saw her standing in the midst of the crowds and her beauty just radiated from the people around her. I was so embarrassed for staring about her and she smiled at me. We talked during the party, and she said she too also saw me at our school last school year with my cousin. She said I looked snobby because I never smiled but she was glad to know I wasn't like that in person...Well my question is....should I avoid her and just forget the feelings or befriend her and then court her. I can't get her off my mind and personality matches her beauty but I feel like she will never go out with a guy like me...What should I do?

I had this former high school teacher who helped me with my Resource Study Skills Class. She took a special interest in me and went out of her way to make my experience a good one. It seemed as if she wasn't as involved with the other students. She took a break from teaching but she taught the Special Day class and had a student in my mothers class so she knew my mother from before. Is it rare to be able to share such a good relationship? We keep in touch and she invited me to alumni parties and keeps in touch. We sometimes go for coffee. My mother also likes her too and remembers her from when she had a student in her class and enjoys talking with her as well. She even attended my high school graduation party. I am in college and she was the best teacher I have had who helped me get to where I am today. Any ideas as to how this can happen?
