Her father wont do anything about it unless he is forced. So that is what i am trying to help her find information about.

if your friend is under 18 then call the state . The only way her dad will be able to get her back is if he fixes things. If thats not a possiility then call the township or county tell them the house is not in livable conditions and you want to complain they will send someone out to check and make him repair it or he gets fined,. their are laws on how bad you are allowed to get a dwelling. Good luck !

It is sad that her father doesn't care enough to make her feel safe and secure. Washington State probably has a welfare or social service department. My sister lived like this for a year after she ran away from home...I was the only one she could depend on. If she needs your help give it too her...I was humbled when my ex-husband lost his job and I had to depend upon others for grocerie...but I think if you pass that kindness on...it will return to you...Please take the time to see what she needs

I hate to say it but I don't think there is really any one you can call. There are places you could call if she was being abused and what not but if you call some place to report how she is living she will be put in fostercare. the only way out of foster care would be when her father showed the house was fit to live in and who knows how long that will take.

Hey, if you have a good neighborhood, try to get some volunteers rounded up to help rebuild it. if it is dirty/filthy inside, get some older ladies who love to clean to help out.. thats what i did with my school when this old man was in the hospital and his house was falling apart.

You could call Adult and family services, although they may remove her from the household and leave the father there.
Good Luck.

I don't know how old your friend is, but possibly child protective services, since the living situation sounds dangerous...
