Well at least the girls my age I am a 22 yr old girl, new to the city. I just want to make friends. I am nice and do my job, not really talkative (just cause no one there talks to me much) but i try to be nice and make friends but people just look at me like they can't stand me. Why do they not like me and what can I do about it? I have tried not to let it bother me but I find that this really hurts my feelings. Please help.

Here's the situation:

I've been friends with this girl for a few years now I guess. We go to the same Church. She's a few years younger than me. At one point we became really really good friends and I started developing some feelings for her. She turned me down and we went on just being friends. This happened maybe 5 or 6 months ago.

Lately I think she's been completely ignoring me and I have no clue why. I never see her any more. She never picks up my calls. She never answers my txt msgs and she won't even answer my MSN msgs.

I really have no idea why. Should I bother keeping to try contacting her or just give it up and write off the relationship completely?

I have this friend I have had for a long time and she says she can't go to court and testify about what is best for my son. Because she works under my sons fathers mom. She doesn't want to loose her job she says. What would you do? Would you be upset? Because my kids really look up to her like an aunt. I mean I do understand but then a part of mine really doesn't b/c it's my child we're talking about and she's the one that knows about everything that happened with my sons father to testify besides me. What should I do? I haven't talked to her in a while b/c I'm so upset and don't understand. Please help.....

i completely understand that when you first meet someone there will be that infatuation period where they are all you think about, but it has been a little over two months, and she is still spending every waking moment with him. not to mention that when we do hear from her all she talks about is him. me and her other friends all feel like we are waaaayyyyy on the back burner, and wondering when/how we should start demanding face time with her.

8 years ago, my then best friend told me that she could not only not be in my wedding, but wouldn't even attend because I was planning on inviting her ex-boyfriend (whom I had known since grade school) to my wedding. Both she and the ex-boyfriend were married to other people and it wasn't an issue to him. She told me that he had caused her "undue emotional harm". Long story-short - I told her that she couldn't tell me who to be friends with and that if that was her decision, then so be it. I mourned the loss of our friendship like a death and cried for weeks. Last week, out of no where she sent me a birthday card. It was a "Hey what's up, hope you are well. Know it's been a long time and I'm sorry." I closed the door to this issue a long time ago, and like the loss of any person, focused on her positives and forgave. My question is, should I reply to her card (she put her return address) or let it stay buried?

Because since i came 2 canada i m working with aged ppl. They r my friends too, but age matters. Been in Canada for 5 yrs now, but hard to find good friends. Right b4 anyone says how dumb is that? I know~ but was so fed up with waiting 4 friends who are married/with partner/with kids/in midst of divorce ~life is frantic BUT question is I posted advert on gumtree 4 freindly travel buddy male/female 4 caribbean & had ususal fruitcakes/weirdo's & some genuinely nice replies but from teenagers SORRY teens but I am over 35 .. prefer mature travel friend. Anyway woman contacted we spoke and as we live in diffferent counties & the places were selling fast, we discussed booking prior 2 meeting, I booked then I spent 3 days not sleeping and then she paid her half in2 my bank (OK) and we spoke then more relaxed really for 1st time about life/kids/men etc but she has made no attempt to meet up and I said from day 1 would not travel unless I felt I knew person well & pointed out only 11 weeks but in phone chat ONE since booking she came across as moody and snobby kinda uppity & I am dreading it & thought of how 2 get out of it but would lose all money?

is there something wrong when you feel like people arnt worth the time anymore, like why put effort in to someone who could walk away just as easily as they came? maybe im bitter, but some people suck and they ruin it for all the unselfish people.

i have this best friend, or was a best friend, we've been mates since we were lil' tods, and lately shes got together with this bloke, and it was lovely to see her so happy as she was never great with the whole relationship side of things.
Anyway i could see things were starting to change...
"I'm sorry, i'm not allowed to hang around with you, my bf says its for my own protection"
i was a lil confused by this but gradually accepted it
then she said "oh ive had to delete all my contacts on my phone and computer, except you, its for my own protection" i could tell he was starting to control her, being a best mate 'n' all i had to do something about it, so i told her how i felt with her new relationship... she just flew off the handles and walked away from me, and now she's deleted me from any kind of contact, she did speak to me the other day and said "we can't be best mates anymore, he says its for my own protection"
it hurts that shes put him first....

im friends with ALL guys. i have NO girl friends at all. im an emo so not alot of the preps like me. well all my friends r guys and they r emo,punk,and gothic so there r no girls in the group but me. dont get me wrong i love my boys but there r somethings i cant tell and talk to them about. im kinda loney. ya know? so...what should i do? none of the girls at school like me at all because im friends with them and im emo. im 15 so its kinda hard when ur in high school well in mine at least. there r ALOT of preps at my school so i dont really talk to them...dont see a point really cuz they hate me. so what should i do?
