-I am gay and my friend just came out to me that he was gay! I am happy for him but at the same time he just revealed that he also has a crush on me! He's not my type either..........sorry but I'm kind of shallow..lol..........anyways........He's asking me to help him come out but I don't know how even thought I'm out! His mom is judgmental towards gay people but she treats me as if I'm gold! He tells me he's jealose that his mom treates me better than him even though he's her own son.........I'm so confused!

my friend gets picked on every day by these boys and she don't want to say anything to them beacause she knows they will hit her back and will end up fighting with them. She also thinks that if she goes to a consular it would seem like she is being a snitch. I know it kind of doesn't concern me but i want to help her. What should i do?

i love my best friend like a sister. but everytime we talk she complains about her and all she does is worry about herself. for example:she missed my birthday party because she wnated to go to the spa. i know you guys might think she's not a good friend because she missed my birthday. anyways, all she does is complain about her,her boyfriend, her life,etc. if i tell her something im afraid that she might take it the wrong way and don't want to be friends anymore..what should i do?

I am kinda on a path of self-discovery at the moment. I have been doing some travelling, you know - seeing places. And I have been working on my art. I don't really have a job or a purpose and it kinda sucks. Has anyone else been in this place? And what did you do to get out of it? I would love to work with animals, and with my art, and travelling...Does anyone have any ideas?

My best friend claimed to tell me everything. She has a past of not choosing good boyfriends so I'm like...of course not approving of some of the guys she chooses. Bad. I know. But! She was talking to another friend on the bus and the friend I was sitting with overheard their convo and asked me, "Who asked her out?" I had no clue cause I had heard no mention of it. well i moved out becuase my dad was verbally abusive and he was getting phsycaly abusive to. well i have told my mom to leave but she wont and if i try to tell the cops everyone in the family would lie about it
well its been really hard cus i took care of my younger brother and sister as if they were my kids. i fed them i sent them off to school i did there homework and put them in bed.
well ever since i have moved out i still want to come over and see my brothers and sisters but my mom said that since i wont pretend like my dad isnt abusive i cant come over and i cant see my family unless my dad is gone. she says its better when im gone cus then everyone is ok until the next time he freaks out

she also said that i cant come to any holidays or birthdays. well that really hurt but then she told my dad that she wants to spend thanksgiving with me

i am staying with another family and they dont like my old family and they eant me to spend thankgivin with them what should i do?

My best friend and i can't hang out anymore because my parent's thought she was a "bad influence". We still hang out at school and talk secretly on the phone. But she got a bf since then and they've been going out for six monthes now. She used to be like my siamiese twin.. and now it feels like i mostly just stand around and watch them kiss. I thought that the lovey dovy touching each other phase would wear off.. but it hasn't!! I feel like i don't have a best frined anymore. I can't tell her anything any more.. i miss her NOT having a boyfriend!! I don't want to seem selfish and wierd by telling her that i can't even talk to her anymore.. and i did try once but she doesn't seem to notice or care. I hardly have any other friends because we where the type that we spent so much time together we never developed any other frinedships. I feel lonely and don't know what to do!

Ok a while back there was this guy and everyone started saying that we were having sex.(this guy was staying with my dad as a foster child) we just joked about it and went on but then every one started to tell me that i was lieing when i said we didnt. so since this person was so close to me as a brother figure i didnt say it wasnt true not wanting to make him a lier. now i want to tell my step sis the truth but afraid she will be mad...she is the one that wouldnt believe me in the first place but that has been three years ago....

I have this friend and we're bffs but I'm starting to rethink it cause she seem like she is becoming better friends with someone else. I wanted to be the person she could tell everything and now im not and I just feel plain left out. She was the only person I could trust and now it scares me I don't have that anymore. I've tried everything to stay bffs but it still seems to get worse. Whenever it's just me and her we actually act like bffs but when its me, her. and the other girl, she acts so mean to me and really rude. ???. And when me and her are just hangin' out in the hall before class were cool but then the other girl comes over and she acts like i dont exist and just walks away from me. I mean she asks me to do all these things for her but when i want her to help me on a homework assignment she automatically says no and this other girl is in my math class and thats the class i was wondering if she could help me in. god my life is so messed up. please someone answer my question.

cos I'm asian too.. I need your advice...
well.. the case is.. We just moved in... Like.. last May... I'm currently studying in the US as a 10th grader... I'm having problem making friends.. well.. I have some friends.. but you can count them.. Maybe because I'm shy... I dont speak unless spoken to.. But I can speak english very fluently... and they can understand me easily... (I came from an english speaking country)
1 of my problem is I get so shy during conversations... Or.. I'm not even that confident to say "hi"... I mean... back from my homeland... I'm super confident.. I have tons and tons of friends... I dont know what happened to me... or is it just natural in the first months?? and.. another thing, I'm super shy in our class participation... We already had like... 3 weeks of class and I have recited only 5 times.. I'm shy.. because I dont want to see people laughing at me specially when times like I make mistakes with my speech..
I would just like to know.. are asians viewed as... like...
"under" the whites or something...? well.. tnx for your advices!!! GODBLESS!!

my school years were mostly hell and of misery in being picked on. yet i fondly remembered some of the happiest moments i experienced. i had two best friends back then: one was a guy called anton who came all the way from liverpool, and the other was a black kid named andrew. both were male, but we had so much fun back in the early 90s. they were very friendly, funny and a joy to be with. of course, i never once was attracted to either of of them; we were very young and the fact that i was the only female who hanged around with them didn't bother them at all. i think it helped that we had the same interests: eg, football and other stuff like that. it annoyed me that some girls would come up to me say stupid things like 'do you fancy them?'. which was a load of bull. but anton and andrew were and still are my best friends

alas, do you still keep in touch with your old school pals? how strong was your friendship back then? do you have any fond memories? what things did you get up to?

so mean, it is really getting to me.

I have now & in the past devoted so much time on here (and in my life) to helping people with knowledge I have about health, etc...going way beyond the call of duty in investing my time..sometimes spending an hour or two hours answering or researching something for strangers on here..and I am so down by the crulety expressed especialy in the political section.

Please say something nice..I am started to feel depressed about the turn society is taking fo the worse.
