my school years were mostly hell and of misery in being picked on. yet i fondly remembered some of the happiest moments i experienced. i had two best friends back then: one was a guy called anton who came all the way from liverpool, and the other was a black kid named andrew. both were male, but we had so much fun back in the early 90s. they were very friendly, funny and a joy to be with. of course, i never once was attracted to either of of them; we were very young and the fact that i was the only female who hanged around with them didn't bother them at all. i think it helped that we had the same interests: eg, football and other stuff like that. it annoyed me that some girls would come up to me say stupid things like 'do you fancy them?'. which was a load of bull. but anton and andrew were and still are my best friends
alas, do you still keep in touch with your old school pals? how strong was your friendship back then? do you have any fond memories? what things did you get up to?

Yes even though I've been out of school many, many, years now I still remember my good friends. I had 2 "best" girl friends and sadly one of them is deceased. She was hit by a car while she was crossing the street. The person who hit her never even stopped. And what makes it even worse, she was pregnant with her first child. I often think of her and all the fun we had staying overnight with each other. I also wonder how that person who ran her down can sleep at night. My other good friend still lives around here but we've lost touch. You know how busy every day life can get with children, jobs, etc.... But I enjoyed your question, it brought back some good memories.

Hi. It sounds like you are one of those wonderful people who make friends for life. Like you, I had a very hard time in school. And also like you I found someone who I could relate to. This was another girl and she and I used to go into a room behind the auditorium that almost no one ever went to. We would just hide in there if we wanted to get out of a really boring assembly and talk. It was a lot of fun. But after she moved I lost touch with her, so you are very lucky.

I remember 3-7 people I was friends with back then, but I haven't spoken to them since I grew up. I have both good and bad memories of high school, but I rarely even think about high school.

I became friends with a girl I met on the first day of play school when we were both three. We now live in different countries but we email each other almost everyday.

I will never forget all the best friends I had in life. I keep fine memories of them, and do miss them sometimes. But life goes on and new people pass your road...
