Friends - October 2006

He is in AZ we live in CA. She will fly out tomorrow to go and cremate his body and bring him home so we can bury him. He lost his sister in a car accident 2 years ago. I am worried about my friend she is a teacher and we have been friends for 34 years since we were 13. I want to be of comfort to her what can I do.

I've had a crush on this girl for over a year (pretty major, seeing as I usually forget about someone when a hotter girl comes aong), only problem is, she is dating my best friend. Add the fact that she was dating another of my friends before this, and that she also happens to be a good friend of mine, and you'll come to realize how screwed up my life is. my friend is movin in tomorrow--she just found out she is pregnant two days ago---my lease is up in eight more months and she understands i may move with my lover after the lease is up so it will be up to her to find a place. We tried to get a two room but the complex doesnt allow alterin of the contract so i just have a one room. Do you think it will be a good idea for her to move in bein pregnant and all? It will definitly help with rent and bills so i can save more money....please leave good answers and not something pointless thanks

A friend asked me to hang out with him and his friends. He came from another state so I was very happy to see him again. Due to my work scredrule, we agree to called when I was near where he was. The first time I called him he said to meet him at a certain spot, when I was close to the place, he called and said that they were hanging in another place instead of the one mentioned before. So I went there, and the place was in construction. So I called him back and he did not pick up. I was mad since I was going from one place to the other for three hours, so I went home. I left him a message saying that I am going back, the place was in construction so I wasn't expecting him to be there.
I felt very upset since I though he treating me like an idiot. Later, I received another message that they were at another restaurant.
I called him back and he said that he noticed I was mad and that he was sorry. I say it was ok. I didn't want him to think he is too important either.

my best friend for 7 years died in a car accident yesterday!!! :(((( her mom was driving across an intersection and this drunk lady crashed into the car at like 60 mph

we were so close! i'm crying as i write this so if you have experinced this kind of trauma can you pelese help me?

Im a very fragile sweet kind of girl and I am overly nice to people at times but I have had so much pain in my life and things that I cant discuss has caused me to be weary of meeting new people "especially other women." I put myself inside this shell. maybe out of fear of being hurt or being judged constantly. Im very lonely. I have friends but have no close friends. Im very cautious about who I trust with my heart, because Ive had to deal with so much pain. 'm a guy. Shes been my friend for 4 years. I'm 16, shes 17. When i got back to school she was different. She was resting her arm on my knee, hugged me once, and stole my hat all the time. Then all the big stuff stopped for a while. But still tries to sit next to me, bumps right into m sometimes in the hallway. Writes on my arm and i think she touches my hand. Turns out her perfect guy desription fits me perfectly.A problem is she touches other guys too. Well she wrestled with one them once. She hits them like me. But it just seems like i get more attention from her. but she claims to do it to everyone. But the big problem is shes bi. One girl leans on her and sh*it. But thats nothing really. Yesterday, all of us are hanging out. We seperate for our reasons. But somehow it was just us walking to a resturant. The walk there shes quiet doesnt say anything. Then we get there its a little shaky at first but we just talk for an hour about normal stuff. We start walking to another resturant. I tell a great joke, so she put her arm around me and tells me im awesome. Then she suggests getting another one of our friends Kelly. But she says it like everyone to go ahead but me and her would go and pick up Kelly. She goes and gets Kelly. Both of them show up at the resturant. It's just us three. Turns out the girl im worried about now and kelly are having a bad unofficial relationship. I'm just there quiet while they talk about their problems. Afterward she hugging her, talking to her, being with her as much as she can. We are talking but it seems like she would rather be with kelly. But kelly doesnt totally want anything to do with her. So what i want to know is whats going on with my friend. Does she like me and what do i do about it.

I'm asking this because I'm so confused as to what friends I should stay friends with and which friends I should not hang out with too much.

I know people aren't perfect, I'm not either, but if I have a friend in which I enjoy some of their qualities but not others, then what do I do?

I could overlook the negative qualities but would it be beneficial for me to hang out with this type of person.

Should I hang out with someone I strive to be like?

Do you have any advice about friends?

Can people be changed?

One of my friends is turning 21 on Tuesday and he doesn't have an ID- At the DMV they say he needs to have two forms of ID to get a picture ID yet he has no Social Security Card and No Birth Certificate without having to go through the state of Oregon. All he needs is something that has his full name, picture and birthdate- any ideas?????

I give my friend a lot and I'm always nice to her. I try to be the best person I can be. But sometimes, or most of the time, she is really mean and she seems like she doesn't care about my feelings. Like when I'm at school only a few people will tak to me... and when I go on Aim people that I know in real life they wont talk to me... like I'll say stuff and do my best to continue the conversation and they just respond and not say anything else or act like they're not there and not respond at all... and I'm probably one of the most reasonable and nice people you'd meet but I'm not shy or anything... I have a woman who I have been very good friends with for a while. She is a beloved mentor. Lately her son has been hounding me about getting together, but I don't want to because he lies and is a drug user. I'm also not attracted to him and he seems to want to go out. She is a typical mother, incredibly defensive and in love with her son, so I worry about offending her. I don't want to lose her friendship, but I really don't want to hang out with him.
