I ask this because one of my friends who happens to be a girl has just confessed to me that she likes me, and I don't feel that way for her but I feel bad that I can't return her feelings. is it possibe for guys and girls to just be friends without there being this? i know that there are a lot of people that have had to deal with the same problem as me, and im just wondering.

two people are freinds because they like each other to a certain degree, its a kind of love i guess. you feel more strongly for this person than you do for all the rest of the people areound you. thats why they say that if you want a relationship to last you should really become friends with the person you are interested in. i think that if you are friends with this girl for a long time soon you might have feelings for her too. if its true friendship its most likely to happen, because she'll will be the one that always there to comfort you, and she'll always be there for you.

I think they can although it is very rare. I have never had a male friend that hasnt hit on me. Im not trying to sound like i am full of myself because im really not, im just being honest. But I think that it is completely possible, I know lots of people that have friends of the opposite sex.

i think it is, most of my friends are male. But a lot of people have a hard time believing we can just be friends....and it annoyes the crap out of me when everybody ask why im not dating any of them. Seriously it is possible to be friends with the opposite sex without dating them.

sure guys and girls can just be friends. don't feel bad that you don't like her the same way she likes you,just be honest with her she maybe a little upset but should will understand.

i had experienced the same... it's really hard for someone to stop or prevent from liking you. especially when s/he misinterprets your acts. they sometimes think that you like them that's why the tendency is they fall for you. When you have friends of the opposite sex, make sure that you don't treat them extra-special, just be yourself. if you think that there is something different with your friend and you don't like it, better tell it to her in a nice way...

yes. i'm kind of in the same situation. my guy friend has a crush on me. but hes never admit it...to me, but if he dose, i'm probaly have to turn him down. he might be sore for a while, but things should be that bad. we'll still talk and stuff. and i'm sure u'll figure it out also.

Honestly, I tried it and it never worked. No matter how long you try to stay 'friends', sooner or later the thunder will rock and the lightening strike/ I wish you luck anyway.
