One of my friends is turning 21 on Tuesday and he doesn't have an ID- At the DMV they say he needs to have two forms of ID to get a picture ID yet he has no Social Security Card and No Birth Certificate without having to go through the state of Oregon. All he needs is something that has his full name, picture and birthdate- any ideas?????

Yes he does exist... Hate to say it but he's lazy- never had a "real" job so never had to deal w/ having a SS card. Hes got fines on his record so he cant have a drivers license
He spends any money he gets so he cant afford the "important" things like the birth certificate... He had it but lost it and without IDS he can't get anything.. So basically... Hes screwed!

He needs to have something that proves who he is.
It's a real problem without any ID. He needs to get his Birth Certificate. He can order that on-line. Then go and get a Social Security Card.
I live in Washington State, and we have Washington State ID. It's not a drivers license, it's just an ID with your picture on it. I think all states have that.
How old is he? Hasn't he ever worked? Because he'd have to have a Social Security Card in order to work.
Good luck.

no drivers liscences, SocSec card, or even a birth certificate?
are you sure this guy even exists?

ummm...try a credit card at the DMV, sometimes those are allowed as form of non-picture ID, and then he could get a picture ID. if he's in college and they give out school ID's with a picture, you may try that (better call the club up ahead of time to see if they'll accept it).

worse comes to worse, you may have to just slip the door guy some cash.

all i can say is that he is going to have to goto the vital statistics board and get his birth certificate. not to mention call social security for a card. you can get your birth certificate online for about $40 and by answering a few questions. mostly, mothers maiden name, social security number, and county and place of birth. it's not all that difficult, i had to do it to get into the Army.

You need to get a new friend. It seems odd to me, after your description of him, why you would try to get an ID for him, when he should clean up his act and get one an honest way by himself. What would he need ID for anyway. So he can drink?
