What does it mean when people have a red "x" on their hand or whatever color (i've seen black too) Its on the top of their hand and i've noticed that some of my skater friends have it. Does it mean like EMO or something?

i think it means "straight edge" as in they don't do drugs or drink or smoke
just ask one of them about it

It probably means they have been some where that they paid to get into and it is away of marking paid customers to let them back in. You should ask the person about the mark.
