I grew up in a rural community where divorce was non existant. My mother was widowed twice, divorced twice, and had various affairs. We grew up on welfare in a middle class neighborhood. I resented my mother and made it a point not to follow in her footsteps. So I played down my appearance and became a loner.

Now, 20 years later, I am a 37 year old housewife/nursing student with no friends. My 39 year old husband is also friendless, and the two of us have very little to talk about at the end of the day.

Where do I begin to make online friendships? Should I even do it? What if I make some really great men friends. Would that be problematic?

my bff's parents are going to split up and before summer she is going to move and im scared cuz we have been friends since we were 4 and we are 14 and if i lose her i lost like all of my child hood and im scared cuz she is moving to the other side of the contry and im freaking out. I have other friends but i will feel alone. with no1 to tell everything 2. my question is how do i deal with this.

I know a couple of dudes that are totally whipped! Their women control their lives like they are little kids and they have no back bone what so ever! I love my girl to death but she wouldn't even attempt to control me cause she know's i'm not having it! I just wonder why some guys put up with that? I've asked my friends that are whipped and they really don't have a good answer. I think it's funny when a man acts like a little boy! Someone shed some light on this for me!

ok..i was talking to this guy for like the past few months..we were talking on the phone and on aim..we talk in school alot, we play jokes on each other..like what normal friends do..and lately, he's been acting weird. like, he doesn't talk to me anymore. he doesn't call me or if i'm on aim and he's on, he doesn't even talk to me anymore..but we used to talk like every single time and we had interesting conversations..like now, when i start talking to him on aim, i'd say something that i know he's interested in, or something funny and he's just like ok..or really? or oh..that's cool..i mean, i know there's something wrong, but i couldn't figure out what...and it's really akward if we like get close to each other, he used to like hit me or say hi or play with my hair or make fun of me(in a nice way..friendly way)because i'm short and we'd both laugh..but now, he just looks away and it's akward..can you help me what's the problem and how to solve it..please?!

I was wondering why men make friends easier than women and women arent as friendly and outgoing towards each other, it's like women are against each other and guys just spark up friendships it doesnt seem like their trying to out do each other. For Example, I just moved somewhere new and all the men in the neighborhood have become buddies with my husband already and not one woman has approached me with a kind word or warm welcome. It also seems women hold grudges more. I am a woman myself and I still dont understand it, maybe somebody else can put it into perspective.

Okay, there is this guy( who I like ), his little sister, a friend of mine, said that he LOVES me. But she has been known to lie in the past. so I see her all the time and I really like her but everytime I see her she is asking me how many loans I've closed and how much commision I'm getting from each and if I just get paid once a month ect ect.. I try to just laugh it off and say...oh "i don't keep track"...or I "try not to jinx myself" but today she was driving me crazy with the questions. I really like her and were good friends but I guess I've always I'm more private about how much me and my husband make? How can I say something to her without being rude? or should I just keep trying to laugh it off? I really want to be nice about it I'm not a mean person? any ideas?
