Friends - September 2006

I am having a problem with one of my coworkers. There is a women at my job who use to be my best friend. We use to do the same jobs but now she has gotten a promotion. She now looks down on me and hardly even talks to me and has even stuped as low as to talk about me behind my back and turn a lot of people against me. I tried to talk to her once to smooth this out but she snubbed her nose at me and walked away. I feel really bad because she was my best friend at one time and now I have to work with her like this and I feel very uncomfortable going to work every day now. I don't know what to do or how to make this whole thing better.

I sure wish I did! I'm just a 23 year old and I have had nothing but bad luck with friends..Especially with female friends..People these days are so inconsiderate and only care about themselves..I wish I had someone in my life who was down to earth, honest and caring as myself...Is there anyone else out there wish they had the same??

I don't like my best friend's fiancé and I think that she's making a big mistake marrying him.

We have been friends for about 3yrs. and since that time she calls me like everyday. Either my cell phone or home and I don't like to talk on the phone , I like to have time to myself and with my family. Sometimes I have just did'nt answer and she calls a couple times more times. She dresses like me, talks like me and even drives the same car as me, just different color. I did everything first, I swear! But some when I casually ask her about it she pretends like she didnt notice. She will say say something like: Oh, yeah, I didnt even notice it till u brought it out. Its annoying! okay so i'm exageating here... lol.
anyways, i've got 2 male friends... 1 is gay and the other is straight. gay and straight are not friends but are familiar w/ each other...gay has a crush on straight & is asking me for straight's picture (because i have one) but straight dont want me to give it to gay. gay told me that if i wont give the pictue then we're not friends anymore... straight told me that if i give gay the pic he'll get mad at me... i dont want to loose the 2 of them for some stupid picture...

NEway, senior year i kind of backed off her even tho i stilled liked her n at the end of the year, near graduation, i told her how i felt. i was cool about. At graduation it was like good bye, we took some pics and thats all. A month or so later a mutual friend gave her my number n she started callin n textin me, she threw a party at her house n bugged me to c if i wuz comin. I didnt make the party but went over a week later. we hadnt seen each other n 2 months n were catching up. I had a serious argument with my GF 3 days back ......really serious that can cause our relationship breakup. She told me not to call her again.....that cant continue with me......but i called her again 2 days back....she was angry....and scolded me horribly.

Never done it myself, but I knew quite a few people in college who did. To my knowledge, all of those friendships drifted apart and ended. Maybe more of a correllation than a causation, since lots of friends drift apart.
