i have a friend who is like my big sister and she said she loves me. she really forgiving and nice... but what does it mean to really love, like between friends. not spouses or boyfriends and girlfriends but between friends?????

I'm nice, friendly, helpful and polite. I always make time for others, yet I'm always being excluded from out of work activities by people I work with. My old school friends and others abandoned me when they found out I had depression and I can't seem to make friends. I don't know why people don't seem to like me, what am I doing wrong?

A girl & a boy are only good frnd. Nothing special in the relation. What's ur think? Is it possible for a lifelong frndship? Or the frndship turns into love later?

I think it's possible because a true frnd is only a true frnd nothing else.

I dont mean she died. I have a friend that I have known for 13 years. She lived here for 9 years then moved away. Just recently she came back for about 5 months to stay while her husband was stationed at a base for police academy. In those 5 months we became REALLY close again. My son LOVES her, she came and did everything with us and helped me have a friend again which I dont really have that many anymore. Well of course she had to go back home and I am really sad! I mean really sad. It sucks, its like I had a friend again other than my husband, someone I could talk to everyday and laugh with about girl things and she played with my son all the time etc.. etc.. i just wonder if its not normal to be this sad? It seems weird to me that I am taking it this hard. I am planning on visiting her in about 5 months but I just really wanted her to stay.

Ive been there for my friend when no one else was. through all the relationships shes had, and done nothing but been supportive. about a year ago she met a new guy. Although i had never met him, i was supportive. Her and i are complete opposites, yet i still support her decisions, earlier this year things got serious with her relationship and she moved 3 states over. We still maintained our friendship. One day her boyfriend, having never talked to me, decides to take over her messenger and talks to me. I am nice. All of a sudden he gets an attitude with me and critisizes my use of language. so i reacted with the way i usually would, harsh words were exchanged, in the end he told me that i need to be nice to him because he controls who she is friends with. All and all, she said that i had no right in doing what i did, which i call defending who i am, and started writing horrible emails to people she doesnt know about me. We stopped talking, am i in the wrong for just ending it?

It is sad that today people cannot be close best friends without others thinking that they are in a sexual relaitonship. I enjoy having close friends around without having this question hanging around. One of the main problems is that it is not just celebrities, but ordinary people who encounter this. Please let me know what you think of this.

A very good co-worker has been called up for service in Iraq. Got a friend that was supposed to buy 2 items in a recipe. I bought the other 4 items like weeks ago. These items have not been easy to find. I keep asking her if she bought them and she says, "no." Then makes up 20 excuses as to why she hadn't done so yet. We need these items in like a week. Would you buy the other 2 items and not share or would you go ahead and keep waiting for her to buy them. I don't want to make her mad, but I MUST have these items on time. I just don't think it's right for me to buy everything and her to do nothing. Best advice…10 points in 4 hours.
