the truth is no one knows what love is, but we know what it is not. At what point does red become orange in a rainbow? And when does cold become hot in temperature? We can't tell. the same goes for love and hate. All we can say is that we know when we like, desire and care for some-one, so we wish for the same in return. If it is not returned or our feelings are broken then we begin to hate. I think if u really hate some-one then it is likely that u loved them, if u just dislike them then u propably didn't have strong feelings for them to begin with.

You can never make some one love you. You can only hope that they will reciprocate the feeling, but if you love someone you should always want them happy even if it is not with you.
Love causes alot of heartache and pain but it also brings with it numerous happy and joyous memories that you will learn to treasure.

If you are able to stop loving someone then you are not a human being or you do not know what love is---perhaps lust is the word you should use.

There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.
