I've been with my boyfriend for about a year and a half and we spend time on occasion with my best friends family. they took a liking to him and enjoy his company. her brother and male cousins recently invited him on a cruise with them and their whole family, including my best friend, and she doesn't get why i think its inappropriate if he goes with out me. keep in mind me and him haven't even taken a vacation yet with or without our own family's. am i being selfish?

I am 27 and live in a small 1 bed apt. My mom is coming to visit from CA and will be staying with me for a few days, sleeping on my futon in the living room. Do you have any sugestions on how to make her feel more compfortable staying with me though it's not what she is used to? What you like when you stay with someone?

Alright, I go to a prep school, right? And we have like 11 cliques in my class, but I fit into all of them except for the nerdy boys. But my problem is the clique that I was in kind of....I don't know...just stopped liking me. It's a small school, and I know everybody, but what do I do to make new friends. Like a bff? my son is 10 he has bipolar and my other son told me when they go to there dads he sneaks and smokes well my husband went to go to work and his smokes was gone how do i punish him for this so he will never do it again i try to keep him busy he is playing football and i dont believe in hard core spanking so any ideas please.

Ok. My best friend in the entire world is a guy. I am really good friends with his sister, too...but, somehow I'm not as close with her than I am with him. People kinda look down on us because we're best friends...and we're opposite genders. It makes us feel bad. But we never let that stop us from being friends. Well, a few weeks ago he told me he "likes" me. Now I'm worried that it's gonna get out, and our friendship will stop because of our parents or something. Can anyone offer words that will help ease my fear? I don't want to loose my BEST friend. Thanks.

My sister came to visit me and when she was here, she met someone I work with. During her 2 month visit they saw each other quite often. She left about 1 1/2 months ago and missed him a lot, so invited him to come and see her. They have continued to talk on the phone, but last night she told me that she really likes him... as a friend. I work with him and he is always asking me about her. I want to stay out of this, but feel responsible for introducing them. What should, or shouldn't I do.

Im falling in love to a friend of mine. He's some what very special to me and im having hard time of keeping how i feel. The truth is i cannot hide it anymore no matter how hard i try.It really shows. I care bout him that i almost wanted to tell him how much i really want him. But im afraid because i might loose him. I dont know what will happen in case he'll find out that through out i never treated him as a friend coz everytime i'll be seeing him i always treat him more than just a friend. If only i could tell him how much i love him i would but im too scared to face the reality what if he cannot love me the way i wanted it to be. I'm having a really hard time....It seems like anything I do makes people jealous and I don't know why.... They are jealous of EVERYTHING!! Why?? I play the piano, dance, sing....etc. I like to do my best at everything i do but why does that make people around me jealous?? And can I stop it? Do I stop singing and stuff? Should I make myself look ugly when people get jealous of my looks?? I'm just so tired of having to worry that someone might get jealous! What do I do??

I lost touch with a dear friend, whom I met in Hong Kong in 1989. He was English & used to be a trader there. Obviously, I tried web-searching (Google/Yahoo!, etc.) but nothing. I also tried People Finder & Names Database, but have had no luck. What other avenues can I pursue? I really need the help - I want to reconnect with my old friend! Thanks!

My dad in a joking manor would refer to us as "turd knockers" when we were young. He recently called one of my daughters a "turd Knocker" and I asked him what it meant. He didn't know. He said that his grandfather use to call he and his brothers and sister that. He said it just comes out of his mouth without even thinking. He also said when his grandpa would call them "turd knockers" he did it with a smile. What on earth does "turd knocker" mean? If anyone knows please indulge me. Thanks.
