Yes, making a list of goals is always a good decision. A good thing about writing down your life goals is that you can always refer back to them to see how you are doing and you can even make changes to your goals as your life changes. Nothing is ever set in stone you know.
Think of big goals you want to accomplish first. Then under every big goal list all of the smaller goals that will help you accomplish that big goal. That way each time you complete your smaller goal you will feel a sense of accomplishment and will be one step closer to reaching the main goal. I did it and it worked out great for me. It is a way to prioritize and organize your life.
Good luck!

I think having goals for this life is a good thing. Your goals might change down the road but to have a goal is the quest. If you have no aim in life then you will go no where but if you have an aim then you know where you are going. If you decided to go to college and then don't because you have changed your goal or you have a career that will last for the rest of your life then that's fine.. then that's your new goal. To stay in the company and work your way up within the company. Goals are meant to be changed or altered but they aren't meant to make a person feel less. They are just a starting point to where you plan to be in 5, 10, 30 years from now is all. You don't want to stay in limbo for too long because then you'll continue to do so for a long time and waste such prescious time in this world. We only have one life to live, which is this one right now. To have no regrets or remorse then set goals and attain them or change the goals every so often to suite where your mind and life is leading you to.
For example I always wanted to become a lawyer when I was a child but never continued that goal. Why? Because I fell into something else that I enjoy doing. That is a change of goals. Change is good but no change is the problem. Go with what you want to do and see where life leads you. You just never know.
Just stay open to change and set goals that are changable and grow with each step. You'll be a better you for it!

Absolutely! You should arrange some sort of "Planner" for accomplishing your different desires. I found that this is very rewarding. Even "being poor" should not prevent you from accomplishing many things. I began by simply not spending small change and putting it in a bottle for the money end, but you can begin by taking each item you write down and set up a separate sheet of paper, keep it in a notebook, Title your project, set a target date to complete it, list such things you will need to complete the project. Then work on each item you need to complete it by setting smaller goals which relate to that goal. You will really get excited when you see your goals/accomplishments come through.

I dont think so, because then you're getting ready to die, when that should be a while off. What happens when you're done with the list and you have completed everything? Are you then ready to die. in a way you're setting yourself up to fall. Maybe if you do make a list, after you've completed it make another one give yourself always something to aspire to. I'd rather go down fighting, than being content with the things you have done. think about the things you haven't and go from there.!!

Kind of redundant to me. Lists are for shopping. Life changes moment to moment. Unless someone has been diagnosed as terminal, I don't think that's necessary. If you're concerned, just make sure you live life to the fullest every moment possible. Take my word as I'm not an adventurer and I have missed out on plenty in recent months. A list wouldn't even have helped........

Why not make the list. It is good to have goals and plans. In a few years, or more likely a few months, you can look back on it and laugh. Or you can just keep updating it regularly because everyone changes constantly.

Make a list of all the things that you want to do. Then as the years go by, mark items on the list accroding to how much you think about wanting to do it. When you do something off your list, put a smily face on it. so when you're old you can look back and say "I remember doing that. I wish i could do it again."

You could. I found it helpful to be able to go back and see some of the things that might have interested me before I actually got my first job. When I was considering a career change this list helped me to choose, (some of these things I had already forgotten that I was even interested once)

What if you're so intent on doing something from your list that you miss out on what could be a wonderful experience? I hate lists. They limit you and confine your imagination. I say take life as it comes and enjoy the good stuff and try to forget the bad.

I would recommend keeping the list small and realistic. For example, don't say "visit every country" instead say "visit two contries in two continents." That way you won't let the list control you.
