Well, unless you live on an old horse ranch then this answer should suffice:
Explain to her how much care, feeding, and especially room a pony needs. Explain how if you were to have a pony it wouldn't have been happy in your yard. You would have had horse poop everywhere all the time to clean up (a LOT of it) and that ponies need other ponies to play with sometimes. Hopefully you can elaborate on that to show that a pony would not have been happy no matter how much love it got there, but that you can go visit one at a petting zoo or something later.

Licia, I never wanted a pony either!! =P
If she's 15 now, then she should know better! Tell her about all the space a pony would take up, the food it'll take, and all the cleaning! Maybe you should tell her that if she gets a pony, she'll have to do all the cleaning herself and get the money to buy the food. That'll probably scare her off from getting a pony.
But if you live on a farm or something and have the money and space, then why DIDN'T you get a pony for your daughter?

The world does not revolve around her! Your world might, but not everyone else's! Tell her that to get the things you want in life, you have to work for it! Don't discourage that she will NEVER get a pony, just tell her that it won't happen that day AND that it takes work on her part! I have many teenage friends with ponies! It's not impossible!

Am I the only girl that doesn't want a pony? Geez....
Tell her you don't have the money. Or the space. Cuz unless you have a ginormous backyard with a place for it to sleep and run around and stuff like that...you probably don't.

I guess she is sad and dissappointed that she never got one. Every child wants something they can't have when there young. Depending on how old she is, you can say we didn't have enough room for a pony or that you didn't have enough money for one.
good luck!!

Maybe she knows someone who bragging about the pony they had or maybe she saw something on TV.
Explain to her the circumstances (no space, too expensive, etc.) so she will understand why she didn't have one.
