I never got back to him over the phone. He lives with my parents 1,000 miles away from me. I wrote him a letter apologizing for waiting so long for my response. I told him I had my reasons. This made me feel very guilty. But I just couldnt bring myself to call. Was sending the letter the wrong way to handle it?

I have a serious problem. I have a friend who is a sex addict. She has probably been with at least one hundred men. She has had protected sex with maybe only five of them the rest of them have been unprotected. Most of them have been one night stands that she meets in bars. She is going to get AIDS, and I’m so worried about her! She knows what she is doing, and she knows the consequences-but it is like she can’t seem to make herself stop. She has weird anxiety problems that build, and build, and when she does it it seems to calm her. It is weird! It isn’t a chemical addiction like heroine or something, so I don’t understand why that is addicting. It isn’t like she is going to go into withdrawals or something. I mean if she likes sex, that is okay. She just needs to do it with one person. I know that she is an adult, but I'm watching my friend kill herself in the worst possible way. It breaks my heart, because she is a single mother! Any advice?

My emotions
they are still so raw
raw from them
from what I saw.
I can still see the expression on his face
I can still feel him
his kisses I taste.
The look in his eyes
is truly unforgettable
I knew in that moment
our bond was breakable.
Its hard to say goodbye
to the way we were
the memories
they should last a lifetime
but I will still be living with regret
with what ifs on my mind.
All the things I wish we were
are all the things you have with her.
Its hard to think
of all the wasted years
all the heartbreak
shattered tears.
Now I have to deal
with all the things
emotionally I feel.
All the love
I still have inside
through my eyes
its so hard to hide.
I wish I had him back in my arms
I wish he was still here
to wow me with his charm.
These emotions
are taking my all
I can still hear his voice
from his recent phone call.
I want to let go
really I do
but I cannot forget
all we've been through.
I'm not what he wants
and that hurts down deep
I would take away the key he holds to my heart
but that’s a key I want him to keep.
We never had a chance
just him and I
I'm not his type
and that makes me cry.
I see something special
right inside his soul
He has this emptiness
I wish I can make whole
He has to let down that wall
and take me in
but until that happens
I have to sit back and keep him as my
best friend.

I work for my sister who runs and owns a business. Couple of her employees have been going to lunch (at least for a couple of times now) and coming back to work smelling like alcohol. Now one of the employees have been a good acquaintance of mine and aware that she's been doing her job but i feel like i have a responsibility to tell my sister what was going on in her business but on the other hand I don't want to be the cause of someone's loss of a job. please help

I was working with this girl 6 months ago. We worked together for a week on reception. Getting along really well, and I asked if she wanted to be friends on her last day - she was a temp staff for a week.

She agreed yet I phoned her once or twice, she was too busy to meet me - she had a legit reason. But I've emailed her probably once a month and have never got a response. The thing is, she seemed really interested and she did respond once.

When we agreed to be friends, she even suggested that I have dinner with her and her partner sometime???

My last email basically went on about how its not polite to not respond to emails. The email before that said 'are you not interested in being friends anymore?' Obviously not interested, but is it normal that someone won't tell you, they'll just ignore your emails? Or could there be something else?
A thought that crossed my mind was that perhaps she had feelings for me, and didn't want that to interfere with her relationship. Any ideas?

I am having a problem with my five year old daughter. She is having severe self esteem problems. She thinks that no one loves her and is having a hard time getting along with anyone. My husband and I love her with all our hearts and its killing me when she cries adn says that no one loves her. I dont know why she is like that I tell her I love her everyday, in fact im one of those mothers that says it probably way to much in funny accents. I know that she is having a hard time with the fact that my husbands mother does not accept her but accepts the daughter that we have together. My five year old is from a previous relationship. Its not like I wanted her to know but she was told by my mother in law that she was not her grand daughter and that my other daughter was. This is very hard for me to deal with, because frankly, I would love to kick the **** out of my mother in law. We don't see her anymore but I know that the damage is done.
