What to do if someone's drinking on the job?

I work for my sister who runs and owns a business. Couple of her employees have been going to lunch (at least for a couple of times now) and coming back to work smelling like alcohol. Now one of the employees have been a good acquaintance of mine and aware that she's been doing her job but i feel like i have a responsibility to tell my sister what was going on in her business but on the other hand I don't want to be the cause of someone's loss of a job. please help

well think about it, your sister or you arent trying to make friends, you are trying to support a family, yes, someone will get fired but this is a job you have here and they need to know that it is not ok to work while being intoxicated, you could get in touble if they mess up an order or hurt someone else while drunk, or under the influence,i think if someone is at lunch off site and get into an acceident the job is held liable. i know it doesnt make sense but check into it.i think you need to tell your sister, she may have had them sign something saying if they some to work intoxicatedthey will be terminated. let her know, would you want her to not tell you if the tables were turned?

If this is a small business, I think you should tell her. It would be a nasty surprise if someone drunkenly messed something up at work and caused trouble for the business. If it's a business large enough to have an HR department, tell them. They're there to deal with personnel issues.

u may try going to those people and tell them how u feel give them fair warning if it happens agian u will be forced 2 tell
