Friends - July 2006

Here is the problem, I only have two really good girlfriends. One is 27 and the other is 33 yrs old. The 33 year old is my best friend but, she used to be friends with the 27 yr old before she knew me.
Now, the 33 year old doesn't like the 27 year old anymore because she does not make good choices. She goes to sleazy bars and picks up on 50-60 year old men. And, she has dragged me along but, I do not go anymore I thought it was tacky. Here is the problem the 27 year old has a best friend and they rarely invite me to go out to concerts, etc. So, I usually hang out with these two friends separatively. The 27 year old is angry at me because I did not invite her to a play. You see, I do not drive and my 33 year old friend does. And, I had to see this play for a college class. And, I had to buy the tickets immediatley like the first day of class. I did not invite her because she works full time. So, she told me '' I guess you did not want me to go and hang up on me. Is this abusive?

My friends say that I should act more Latina!(They are Latina by the way) They say that because they say I have "good hair"(i think thats BS), SPeak mostly english(though I am proud to say I also speak spanish and well), am light skin(since when is skin suppose to tell you how Latin you are?!), and because I was brought up embracing AMerican and spanish culture. I am 20 now and consider these people good friends of mine but I am like okay, shouldn't you be glad that I am different and that I embrace many cultures. I would like to say that I am not hurt by what they say because I consider myself a strong individual but its getting to the point that I am feeling real bad about myself and just want them to understand me. How can I make them understand that I consider myself Latina but I was just brought up with customs that are not only Latin?

The person you want to be friends with is a complete stranger. How would you go on about making him/her a friend?

For eg. you see a person sitting alone at a coffee-shop reading a book. You feel a sense of attraction towards that person. You want to know more about him/her and at least want to make him/her a friend. How would you start out?

zack has short brown hair allan has long brown/blonde hair zack is going into 9th grade and allan is goin into 10th grade they both wake board in the man made lake competitions and there parents r divoced. they live with there dad. zack plays football. sometimes goes to chino high to play against the chino cowboys. they mean the world to us and we got kinda split so please try to see if u know there last names so we can get there phone #'s we r 2 desperate girls that they met in lake havasu and we met under a shaded rock. please help we want our boyfriends back. ok well we were workin on them bein our bfs.

one day i was goin some where w/ one of my friends and then the other 1 started cryin and then she came w/ us but her mom said we should start 2 do stuff 2 gether. So we did. but then tha other day she and that other friend went somewhere 2 gether now im left out! Now isnt that retarted can u help??

Okay so i had a best friend, who i was friends with for about 5 years or so. But she's changed alot(in a bad way) She lies,only cares about herself, and acts kina whorish. My neighbor has been staring at me for a while. Finally, one day we got to talk. I introduced my self and thank him for a favor he did. He was polite and so forth.Everytime I've seen him he stares at me. I know his sister and we talked, she wanted to know all about me.The next day I saw him, I said Hi and he was shocked to see me and just quickly turnedaround. I truly wanted us to be friends but ever since he found out that I'm in a relationship, he is avoiding me. He knows I can't date him but why he won't be friends. I tried to ask them to hang out with me but they always find excuses. Sometimes I'm angry and think that him and his sister are just plain rude. He is not even saying "Hi"...come on now. what is that?? But, every time his friends see me they all stare at me. He always tell his friends something as soon as he sees me.They are from Brazil. what do you think is going on?

John and I ran together when young, lots of drugs, booze, etc. I cleaned up and quit drinking in the late 80s, but John kept going. Last time I saw him was like 93 or 94, in a restaurant. I was with a group of clean friends. He was was with this girl with purple hair, looking pretty high. John and I made eye contact once, but never acknowledged each other that night. I know John like a brother, but I couldnt bring myself to approach him. A couple years later, he shot himself in the head. I often think of that night and wish I'd gone over to him and told him there was life after drugs. Maybe things would have been different.

I know its love. But it makes me so anry when they fight over stupid stuff, Like who battering the chicken and who is seasoning the chicken, They both are not fair to each other. Each one is trying to get over on the other. I didnt teach this, and my sister and i dont act like this . Where did they get it from?

I try to make them do things together like preparing dinner, practicing dance routines, grocery shop together.
What can i do it get me so upset that i find myself cursing and yelling and then i have an headache. Any positive suggestions. Leave your critics to your self. i am looking for a resolution so they get along. They are sister and i plan to have no more kids to offset that.
