Here is the problem, I only have two really good girlfriends. One is 27 and the other is 33 yrs old. The 33 year old is my best friend but, she used to be friends with the 27 yr old before she knew me.
Now, the 33 year old doesn't like the 27 year old anymore because she does not make good choices. She goes to sleazy bars and picks up on 50-60 year old men. And, she has dragged me along but, I do not go anymore I thought it was tacky. Here is the problem the 27 year old has a best friend and they rarely invite me to go out to concerts, etc. So, I usually hang out with these two friends separatively. The 27 year old is angry at me because I did not invite her to a play. You see, I do not drive and my 33 year old friend does. And, I had to see this play for a college class. And, I had to buy the tickets immediatley like the first day of class. I did not invite her because she works full time. So, she told me '' I guess you did not want me to go and hang up on me. Is this abusive?

It's not abusive, it's petty jealousy. She goes out with her other friends all the time without you, you has no business getting mad at you for not inviting her. If you truely value her friendship, don't let a petty incident like this ruin the friendship. If you don't want her friendship anymore because of her "tacky" bar behavior and what not, then just tell her.

i don't think so
there will always be more times to go out
also, you explain the event to the 27 year old
she might be angry at first
but if she was really your friend,
she'll forget about it within maybe 4 days

first friendship is about the time that you spend together. your 27 friend has a jealous problem. just so happens i have one of those friends to. you have to reassure your friend that enjoy both of them. the only real problem you have is that one friend is much more needier than the other.

Honestly, it sounds like your friend is a trauma queen.

Which do you want more:
1. to stay friends with this girl. or
2. to not deal with her BS. ?

If 1, then you'll have to explain yourself every time you don't include her in what you do.
If 2, then I guess you'll have to not be friends with her anymore.
