I am from a small town in a rural state, 250 miles from where we live. All of my family live back home, except my mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law and niece who live 30 minutes from me. After visits back home my hubby asked if I thought of moving back, I told him I always promised my gramma that I would take care of her. Long story short where we live in is going down hill-FAST! The city has stretched out and things are getting worse. My hubby has now offered to sell our house & move back home- where we could by a new one outright. Which would be great not to have to worry about mortgage /crime /education /sprawl /etc.

My strongest ties are to my mom & niece which are the only cons keeping me back and I am not sure how/if I would cope being away from them. My main concern is my hubby & 3 young children. My hubby talked to b-in-law and says they would be not long behind but I am afraid- what if they don't move,I see them everyday now and love it- besides my mom is my best friend-Help

My honey and I got engaged last Christmas and by March he had cheated on me. We worked though it and got back together in September. We are happy and all, but he mentioned maybe upgrading the diamond in the ring he gave me last Christmas and re-engaging ourselves, haha that sounded funny. Anyhoo, is it wrong for me to never want to see that ring again? To me it's tainted. It means nothing to me after what happened. Advice? Feedback?

we live in a fast moving world...new things appear every 5 minutes...everything is disposable....do you always crave the next thing...be it a person...place...or material possessions....or do you look around you at the things you may have and take for granted....???...

it was first serious relationship for both of us. eg me in 20's him 30's known bachelor. we were good friends, kind of got together accidently i guess. things progressed fairly quickly, eg living together etc but i guess looking back now i wasnt ready for all that then. we eventually parted my doing, but he kept trying to get me back and at the time i didn't want to know. got involved briefly with someone else but when i did realised that i wanted to be with my ex. i couldnt be anywhere else. (we had been engaged)
we unofficially started seeing each other again, me going round his, but unknown to me, he was secretly dating a friends ex, and she even had a key to his place. this involvement with her happened not long after me! a friend first warned me about it but i wouldnt believe it. he had never lied to me before, and when confronted he said it wasnt true. eventu he drifted out of my life. just found out he married her 6yrs ag. still love him after 13yrs, and it affected my lif

My Mum's friend found her husband in a really weird way. She was working in a chocolate factory (Hungary- Central Europe) as a high school student and hid her phone number in one of the boxes. The box was exported to the UK, and some weeks later she got a call... The guy visited her, they fell in love and now they've been happily married for 23 years. Unbelievable!!! Have you heard any strange or touching stories of how 2 ppl found each other?

My husband and I are arguing about what New Year's eve should be. He feels that New Years Eve is a time for couples (leave the kids with a baby sitter) while I feel that it represents a time for the entire family (including kids) to be together. Please tell me what you think and help me resolve this...

I was told begging is unattractive and ignoring the ex bf would make them come back faster. Has it ever happened to you? How long does it take for the guy to come back? Especially if she is your 1st love and the reason for breaking up is b/c the guy doesnt know what he wants.

I live with this man now for two years. We have had issues from the beginning with economy. I couldn't pay my way as I wasn't working. He has always been very oppressive from the beginning. I see him talking on his own, fretting as he himself describes it. It seems to me he likes the feeling of getting stressed. He moans most of the time and admits himself having problems with winter time when there is no light. I have been paying my way for some time now but he keeps on provoking me for no reason. A friend of mine said I am living with a sadist. One day he can be gentle and talkative, the day after he can start shouting in the house, saying I am a 'cow'. When I ask him why, he says I have to respect him and be compliant. He never helps me with the least. I am giving it some time until I can get things arranged to move out but today, when my friend mentioned he was a sadist, I really noticed it was the case. How do you handle a sadist?

Please only serious answers.

My husband then boyfriend was so romantic. I will never forget when he bought me a blue rose for the first time he said it reminded him of my eyes. I use to get roses all the time when I had bad days or just because. heck even even brought me breakfast in bed. We use to hold hands when we went places and now his romantic side is slipping away. Do any of you ever wish you could have those moments back? Why does it have to end when you get married I am young and he makes us feel like we are an old couple. I wish we could have those moments back.

I want to run the other way everytime he comes near me. I don't know why I'm feeling this way . I just started back work after being jobless for about 6 months. I come home and he's sitting on the couch watching T.V. or on the computer. I guess I have some resentment about him not helping around the house. I have a 2 hour commute everyday and he only has a 30 min. and he doesn't care if the house is dirty or the clothes are all piled up. It's like he doesn't even see the stuff that needs to be done. Help, what should I do? I don't want to be all whiny, but I want him to get off his butt and help. We also have a 6 year old son.

Now I am so glad to be free of that loser. Thank you all for being there for me!
