if you still feel that way towards the ring, it may be that your not really over what happened. just because you guys are back together and trying to work things out doesn't mean you have to be all cheezy, devoted, and trusting like you were before. you need time to work back up to feeling that way again. the ring only represents how you feel, and that's still uncertain. be honest with him and try to be honest with yourself even if it's not the pretty little picture you would like.

What is the significance of the ring if he cheated already? The ring meant nothing in the first place right? So why would you expect another? I don't get it, does it mean the bigger the diamond the less likely he'll cheat? Is that what people think??
A ring was never meant to be extravagant it was given as a symbol of unity of a promise to unite. a Simple wedding band WORKS just as well... if YOU STICK TO YOUR VOWS!
The ring shouldn't matter it's the work that comes with being married!

Althought it can remind you of what bad things happened, it could also serve to show what good finally came about too. Depends on how you wish to view it. I mean, it sort of sounds like you have this view that you have, because you want something, like another ring.
Save the Emotional Head Games and Mumbo Jumbo and Be Honest. Dont coat what you want or wish for with a lot of nonsense. It has less to do with the ring and more to do with you wanting something, like a new and probably more expensive ring. Right?

I'm not trying to sound harsh here, but expecting a new guy is the same as expecting a new ring. Just because you get a new ring does not mean that he isn't still the same person who cheated on you.
I think you need to set your priorities straight and find a new man to give you a new ring.

Same thing happened to my sister. She demanded a different ring and got one. He should give you a huge diamond so that you can sell it and be well off when he cheats again.

If you feel that's the right thing to do, then by all means do it. I, personally, would not marry a man who already cheated on me once...chances are, he's going to do it again and a brand new ring isn't going to ever solve that problem.

I agree! every time you look at that ring it will be a reminder of a very painful situation but in any case the ring in itself will also be a reminder no matter how new or old. I would not put so much value on a new ring as I would a new start!

Sweetheart even if he buys you a new ring, What has happen in the past will always be their. Because you must remember it's not the ring that makes the relationship. It's the relationship that makes the ring.

I think upgrading it or having it reset would be the best idea. I mean, unless he's got the money, then sure, his best bet would be a new ring. But keep in mind.....his promise came from his word, love and trust. Not the ring.

Good girl, but keep the ring you have and you should get an upgrade any how... Well mistakes should cost and next time he'll think twice.
