I am stuck on this one issue...how many penpals should I have! So far I have gotten 15 emails from people asking me to be their penpal in 24 hours!!!! How many is ideal?

Well this one guy i was dating broke up with me ,but said he wanted to get back together in a week, cuz he said his grades were going down cuz he was always thinking about me and while we were dating he said he was a little obcessed and said i was beauiful and he missed me and stuff. Then the next day I heard he said he liked another girl. And he told me he didnt like me like that anymore, AND IT WAS JUST THE DAY BEFORE!!! Ok, I am not just being paranoid. When I walk down the hall or enter a room, or walk passed people, they look at me. Not just casually. People, especially guys, just look at me pointedly. Now, I used to think I was hideously ugly and that people noticed this. However, I see people who really are ugly or, this sounds mean to say it, physically inferior in some way to me and they don't get looked at. I'm wondering why I get so many looks from people. I've gotten over thinking that I'm hideous and I don't have a common face like most girls, but I can't believe that people are staring at me because I'm a goddess or anything. So why do they stare? I dress normally, have normal hair, and I don't walk around with a scowl on my face. So why do I get so much attention? Maybe I really am ugly? Could someone PLEASE tell me!

I have been seeing this guy for a month now, he calls me every other day and seems interested in me, he called me once to invite me to lunch but I didn´t answer my cell I had it in vib, the he told me we would go the next day but he called to cancel because he was in a bussiness meeting and told me we should go for coffe or for lunch the next day. I have not seen or spoken to her in about 5 years. I googled her and found her myspace. She moved after a hard time with her father and never called me. Should I really spend the time to contact her? Or should I not bother? She was my best friend! If I do spend the time and she never cares to respond, I will be devastated.
