I'm trying not to date until my senior year but I constantly get approached by guys. I'm shy but most of them time I come off as mean because i dont know how to nicely say I DONT WANT TO DATE YOU. I've also tried explaining to them but they just dont get it. Please some advice PLease.

Is this a self imposed time frame to date or parents won't allow it? Time is not on your side. Use dating to gain valuable social skills. I don't mean sex but just going out double dating and seeing a movie, invite guy over to watch a movie at your house etc. Dating is a growing experience and to wait till you are 17 or 18 years old to date will put you at an disavantage as how to behave on a date. Do what feels right for you though.

If a guy approaches you once, give him the benefit of the doubt. You might say you're busy this weekend. If he asks you about next weekend, tell him you'll probably be busy then too.
If he asks you when you'll have a weekend when you're not busy, say, "Probably never."
Being diplomatic is one thing, but some of these guys are trying to make you uncomfortable, thinking you'll eventually give in if they're persistent enough. If that's what he's doing, don't worry about hurting his feelings.

I agree with pink9364. Focus your attention on your studies and your activities, and show them how focused you are. If they see that you have a life outside of the dating world, they'll back off. Guys get scared off by independent women. (That's the way we like it, if I do say so myself.)

Some guys are stupid and don't understand, "No." Keep saying, "No." They will catch on, eventually.
They think you're playing hard to get so it is fun to ask you. They're conceited and can't imagine that someone would turn them down.
Don't date until you're ready. Don't let anyone pressure you.
